Katrca, for Mrežce no ice axe needed, crampons maybe mainly when descending to hut if icy. Checked camera at Blejska koča, snow just a sample, maybe more near summit, anyway tomorrow nice day for mountains per forecast. Blejska koča na Lipanci open now, new keeper up every day in winter Mon-Sun.

The funniest thing is, there's so much talk about using public transport which is free, or that we should hike to Triglav and surrounding mountains from Mojstrana on foot. I'm really curious who knows where in Mojstrana there's free parking? At all parking lots in Mojstrana you have to pay at least 10€ for the whole day, in Kranjska Gora 15€, for Bohinj it's not even worth talking. So much for free public transport.

It doesn't bother me if the parking fee for Blato pasture is 15€ per day and I pay it without problem. What bothers me is that at the lower parking lot the parking price is 72€ per day. That's simply insane

Parking for Planina Blato is still cheap. I went today to the Mostnica gorges and to the Voje waterfall, to the Voje refreshment hut for a wonderful and tasty lunch, prices normal, nature takes your breath away, but when I paid the parking for the lower parking lot, it took my breath away again, 18€ for 6h...... that means if I had gone through the ramp to Planina Blato it would have cost less. Just for info..... lower parking lot 3€ per hour

On Saturday I was up there, the road from Kranjski Rak all the way to the end of the parking lot was plowed and salted. Parking fee for car is 10 EUR, payable via SMS.

Beautiful day on this wonderful mountain. Everything came together, weather perfect, no excessive crowds, barrier down where toll is paid open. Up Slovenian down Italian, pure enjoyment. When standing below at the landslide under that huge rock mass, I pondered a bit...... good luck to the one who dares to fix slope and road here, maybe that's why it has been waiting for repair so long. On return stopped at hut, quite solid prices, friendly girls, morning ended couldn't be better.

Today I had Mangart planned, but due to bad weather I changed my mind and postponed it to tomorrow, although as it turned out I could have gone today. Well it was nice here too along the Ljubeljščica ridge. Start from parking lot and road to Ljubelj Hut, then past hut into forest and to Polna peč, then drop to Ljubeljščica ridge. Beautiful views all around, the trail itself on ridge a bit more demanding at three spots so wouldn't recommend going up there with small kids. Then from Ljubeljščica summit descent to Zelenica hut for refreshment, short break then quick descent to Ljubelj and loop done.
