Hello!

Tomorrow morning we're heading to Bohinj with the group for an evening gathering nasmeh , but we'd like to make use of the day and head somewhere in the Bohinj surroundings, Pokljuka, etc.

At Dom Na Komni (where we wanted to go) they say the path to the hut isn't trodden yet, we couldn't reach anyone at Lipanci, does anyone have a suggestion for a tour in this area, of course taking into account the current snow conditions?

In the worst case we'll go for a walk around Pokljuka.

Thanks and best regards!

On Saturday I'd go with my girlfriend to Velk'vrh (not sure yet if from Matizovca or from Šija). Does anyone know what the conditions towards the summit are like?

Was up there on Friday 3.4.2026. Last steep part before the hut frozen in the morning, crampons welcome, during the day the surface thawed, so it went even without crampons.

I'm totally desperate because I can't find mountaineering boots for my huge foot mrk pogled

I wear normal shoes size 49. Lately I was totally thrilled and went to Alpina, where they have the Nepal model size 49.5, but my toes reached right to the end, so half a size was missing mrk pogled. They no longer make them on order.

Does anyone have info where I could get mountaineering boots e.g. size 50?
I found some offers abroad, but not what I want, i.e. all-year mountaineering boots. I found only either those for the Himalaya or those for Rožnik nasmeh

Tomorrow morning we would like to go with our group to Velika Planina, specifically via Kranjski Rak and Mala Planina to the hut near Zeleni Rob, which we have rented.

Maybe someone knows how it is with plowing the road to Kranjski Rak? We called the guesthouse but no one picks up.

Thanks and best regards

After talking with the hut warden we decided to go to Blejska koča at Lipanci.

Anyone have an idea where to get size 15 boots (49,50) here?

Last found was a pair of top winter boots (La Sportiva Nepal Extreme) at Iglu Sport decent price (300€) but not for summer tours let alone price.

Last ordered online from USA but customs postage add up nice sum. mrk pogled

We were on Ratitovec with friends on Sunday. The road to Prtovč was dry. We went to the top via the path over Povden pass. Only from there onwards a bit more snow. The path is trodden all the way to the top, but a small avalanche "greeted" us on the way, most of the path from Povden pass to the hut shows traces of small avalanches (probably due to higher temperatures).

We returned via the other (northern or eastern) side, where there's significantly more snow.

My friend and I were up there on Friday, 25.1.2008. The road to Pokljuka is normally drivable, there is quite some snow on Viševnik, but it was really frozen, so probably no major avalanche danger. The path is well trodden, crampons are handy maybe in the last 100 m, on the ridge to the summit.

With a friend I'd go Friday to Viševnik.
Given that today (Tuesday, 22.1.08) general avalanche danger still 3rd level, wonder if ascent to Viševnik still dangerous in these conditions? Better wait a bit?
Anyone going up these days?
