Up to Kokrsko sedlo from the end is fun steepness. Almost a vertical kilometer in less than 2.6 km length....

Return from the peak 30.1.26

Maybe you already know the answer but anyway. Yesterday afternoon I was in these areas and saw at the parking lot quite a few happy sledders. I asked what the conditions were like and they said up top super, down below not the best.

I went to Srednji vrh and it seems to me that around Zelenica there are many more possibilities for sledding. Only in the lower part the ratrak tore to the ground, then further good snow cover

This time I chose (as I got a bit lost in the fog) the Y couloir.

Conditions are, say, sufficient 2; in the part right before the summit precise assessment is needed and I must say it is not the most pleasant (poor base, searching for ice axe pick holds). Approach with thought where and how.

At the summit sun with unpleasant wind.

Back via central, one smaller jump where it narrows. The rest ok.

We had "luck" and saw the gloria phenomenon.

Conditions today excellent. Start early morning, frozen snow at around 1500m. For the way back not so nice . People went to the top even with those small spikes on their feet, no problems.

Now they've classified the path V koncu - Cojzova koča as difficult and time 2.30h.

Now there's again a sign prohibiting traffic to the parking at V Koncu .

Gathering courage all day whether to ask or better not here on the forum, if maybe someone has already been, seen or knows someone who was on winter "cramponing" these days on this route? And if so, what are the conditions?

On the route all ok, not ideal. Quite a few of us

For now the easy park sign is only in front of Kamniška Bistrica hut, the other 3 parking lots for both saddles are free.

Last week I praised the path markers for their work, now I have to praise the road maintainers from Kamniška Bistrica to V Koncu. They fixed the road phenomenally in the last week, so even a low car can reach the lower station without problems.

Not long ago the signs for paid parking were mentioned and now they have actually come to life . On one hand I agree, because I see tons of foreigners with campers who nicely sleep for free in the valley then go to the mountains (the municipality/state/nation gets nothing from them except trash). This is my opinion and please don't attack me, thanks.

I'd just like to praise the Kamnik path markers for nicely rearranging the path from v Koncu towards Cojzova koča, where the scree starts.

The path is lengthened by about 50m and is no longer so steep (just right for tourists), but it's arranged better than the car road to the lower station itself.
