Hi,
you park at the Planine Jezerca parking and then walk further wherever your heart desires. You won't disturb the skiers, the cows are mostly already in the valley.

I was joking a bit, sorry if I exaggerated. On mapzs.pzs.si it doesn't show that any mountain path in this area is closed at the moment.

Ločanka thanks for the help, yesterday I checked Plazje, and more or less saw that it is usable for winter ascent and ski touring.

Via Italiana is a bit too hard for me at the moment (psychologically) because I haven't done more than Gradiške ture as far as difficulty goes. Need to eat some more žganci

The reason why I don't go from our side is that I've already done the path to Mangartsko sedlo several times, both on foot and by bike, and I'd rather go somewhere else.

No problem (and no fine) you can drive and park up to the lower cable car station "at the end". If the parking there is full, there are quite a few spots along the road back where you can park all the way to "žagana peč". Make sure you're not on the edge of the road and the only fine will be washing the car from dust .

P.S. there is no traffic prohibition sign, but in winter there is and definitely will be. They place it before the starting point for Kamnisko sedlo.

I've reviewed quite a bit of material, but can't find the answer I'm looking for.

I'd like to go to Mangart from the Belopeška lakes but not via the Via Italiana ferrata, as that's too much of a challenge for my head right now. On the map I see there's another path from bivak Nogaro to Mangart saddle. I can't find any info on this path (517 from the bivak onwards).

I'm mainly interested if the path is marked and the technical difficulty of the path itself. Thanks in advance for the reply.

I use this https://meteo.arso.gov.si/met/sl/weather/bulletin/mountain/ and the ARSO app (the blue one) because the data for the available locations are accurate (at least at that moment), since there are measuring stations there.

Eh, I think it's still not as bad as the forecast says. Maybe somewhere locally it blows a bit more. I've been watching cameras all day on Kredarica, Kamnik, Kokrško saddle, Zelenica, Kranjska gora (Mojcin dom)

Here currently (16.30) two people in short sleeves and pants sitting in front of the hut on Kamnik saddle. The forecast at this altitude for wind is between 32kmh(at 1500m) to 60kmh (at 2000m). At these numbers it's quite unpleasant to sit in front of the hut, even if there's sun. Especially on KS, where it often blows even when there's no wind .

Pity or luckily that I have to rest today because of the forecast, but tomorrow I won't believe the forecast and I'll go for a walk in KSA.

If you could run then it's not that technically demanding, so it's probably marked as easy (no cables, no pitons). I don't remember ever getting my hands dirty on this path though. In my opinion this path is not really extremely steep . Try the path to Cojzova koca for example, which has really been marked as demanding since last year (before it wasn't and there's no need either, because no cables and only 2 pitons in total), then the feeling of steepness will be a bit different.

Grintovec over the roof is suitable for people who don't like precipices, pitons, cables, so go boldly.

The road to v Koncu is impassable for normal passenger vehicles a little before Žagana peč. Parking is possible right on this section.

They should repair it by this Friday.

Was on this path on Sunday (presedljaj-konj), nicely trodden path, in some places fresh markings.

No problems, met a Kamnik marker along the way who was returning back to the valley and would definitely have told/advised me to turn back if it was "dangerous"

Is this the path where the VK on Krisko gora will take place, I think next weekend? Thanks

You can also check the camera (which finally works again after 4 months), for an approximate feeling it will be quite all right.

End of winter road conditions, so the sign prohibiting traffic to "v Koncu" and on Jermanca has been removed. Yay!


P.s. the poles still haven't been removed
