Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has experience getting stamps for the extended Slovenian trail. Yesterday I was in Zavrh in Slovenske Gorice and got the couriers and signallers trail stamp you get at Zavrh 95. Heard there's a Slovenian transversal stamp in the guesthouse next to the tower. Did anyone have issues submitting the booklet to the commission if the regular stamp wasn't stamped. Thanks

Greetings.
This weekend if the weather is suitable, I plan to head to Cerkljansko. I'm wondering where, after the September flood, one can now get the stamp at Franja Hospital.
Thanks for the reply!

Domch, didn't you swap the crossing option with the crossing from Kranjska Rinka to Skuta? There you have to descend quite a bit to the Pode and then ascend again. From Križ-Koroška Rinka you have to descend towards the Pode anyway, but only about 10 minutes, then you can easily hop to the top of Kranjska Rinka, which is about 20 minutes away.

It's best to go from Češka koča towards Grintovec and Kočna, after 2.5 hours you reach junction. variant 1: Go to Jezerska Kočna (ca. half hour) return to junction and continue to Grintovec (about 45 min). Then descent from Grintovec to Cojzova koča 1.5 hours normal walk. So you visit both peaks. Variant 2: First to Grintovec (ca 45 min) back to junction then to Jezerska Kočna (ca half hour). Then continue to Kokrška koča (less half hour). Then descent from Kokrška koča down (ca 1.5 hours) then over Ovnov čer to Cojzova koča. Over Ovnov čer ca 15 min ascent. Count on that.

Today finally on Bavarian Grintavec. This is a mountain that has all parameters to rate it as Difficult mountain. Views good, was with nephew already at 9:30 on top.

Does anyone have some pictures from Bavski. To see a bit the state of the mentioned pegs etc. Is the stamp still at the top?

Yeah you can get there. But it's pretty long. In 2007 we went on the hottest day of that year, 15-7-2012. Whole day without a cloud, no breeze. Went from Vršič directly to Jalovec, then to Špička and back to Vršič. From Špička back it drags so much it's maddening. I'd think twice in these hot days. In 2010 I decided for afternoon traverse to Špička, next day to summit and back direct. Much better to me, my humble opinion

Hi! Has anyone been to Bavski Grintavec recently? Planning to go from the Soča spring. How's it with snowfields? Wouldn't want surprises. Regards David

Why are you all so hostile. Much better to get used to it from a young age, than to learn it in old age if it suits her. Probably Primož you're not forcing her but she wants to go to the mountains, whatever the conditions. Personally I started from a young age, well around 10 years, going with my brother who only went in summer and on dry ground. I always wanted to go with him. I'd go even if he went in winter time. Now, when I hike independently, I'm a bit scared in winter and don't know why, probably because I've never hiked in winter and am only gaining experience now. So don't give up, keep going like that. I support you both. Best David

Mrzla gora is in the transversal under the extended variant, though it says it's not a mandatory point. If you're doing the transversal, how much have you already done, or did you start it this year? What did you do on Kanin when there's no stamp?

Igor, my opinion is exactly the same and all praise if you prevented such shenanigans around the tower. For the stamp, you can advise me who I can turn to, to ask him a bit about it, if you're no longer active in this area.

Igor why do you say that, why is it then in the Slovenian extended traverse if there shouldn't be a stamp anymore. It would really be a bit ridiculous if they just abolished the stamp. Please, if you can contribute anything, I'd ask you to speed up the matter of placing the stamp. After all, if there's a stamp up there it doesn't harm anyone, but it's useful for collectors. Best, David

I agree, the stamp could be replaced if it's worn and not fixed, whoever can do it. I need it for the traverse!!! How about the stamp on Visoki Kanin, have they installed a new one??? Apparently it was stolen. Was anyone at the summit? Maybe someone knows!!!

I hiked with a colleague a very similar path on Saturday and Sunday, ending in Slovenj Gradec. Nice and unique tour, like Pohorje. We slept at Pesek. Nice tour, but I got some blisters Stankoju, on the eleventh picture it's Ribniški vrh, not Jezerski, as you wrote.
