Important that some go today to the hills jao jao.. Again 2 avalanche burials, for one fatal. Otherwise than suicide can't understand the actions, weather forecasters already warned on extreme conditions ages ago.

Yeah if the hut warden wasn't offended and cheeky, maybe I'd even think of hauling some up...

Triglav anyway loses a lot of beauty due to mass tourism. It depends on the individual, but personally I enjoyed it much more on some other mountain where there wasn't an "ant hill".
Oh.. so it won't be off-topic: Is it such a problem to prepare a little and go to some other hills a couple of weekends before? Why force yourself onto Triglav if you don't like hiking in mountains otherwise? Go to the sea or I don't know where.

Has anyone thought that the copy could go to the museum?
Anyway restoration doesn't go forever and eventually (if not already) stops being original and becomes copy of itself (philosophically xD ).
Especially, I don't know how much this tower is still symbol of Slovenianness, because it became more magnet for vandalism, than originally intended, and if every PD sticks its sticker up there and some individual thinks how to leave his hair on the "monument".
Also: Aljaž Tower should be its page in history, what if they open new one and put monuments on other mountains too? Could someone today put somewhere else and call his scarecrow a monument? I think not :P

Can anyone confirm if the path to the saddle is dry? Occasional snow patches will be obvious, but if possible to the top nicely in hiking boots

I'm gonna nail it up there tomorrow. But are crampons mandatory? Going with friends, know 2 don't have them, probably won't have too much trouble? Fresh snow shouldn't cause issues either, right?
