Hello!

On Saturday I went on a trip: Krvavec - Veliki Zvoh - Vrh Korena - Kompotela - Mokrica - Planina Koren - Kriška planina. On the roof of the neighboring car I forgot a copy of the book Grintovci - Southern Approaches. Borrowed from the library in Koper. Probably little chance that the honest finder will return it to Koper, so I'd like to ask if anyone has a copy that I could buy.

The whole trip was very nice, the path is simple, well marked. If there are no markers, the little paths are still clearly visible. All the time cows or their mooing and bell ringing in the distance, sheep and goats keep you company. On the way we also met a mare with a foal, which perhaps expected some treat. Unfortunately unsuccessfully

Hello, today at 18h I called the hut at Sviščaki (051/219-799 - call them for road condition) and they say the caretaker is going up tonight to Draga Karolina hut at Big Snežnik. So, hut should be open for weekend.
Also worth mentioning the full moon hike on ju3 (Saturday) evening to Snežnik.. as they told me at Sviščaki. Good luck!

17.1.2010, Sunday, sun greeted us at top and Tina Maze silver medal .. as both my predecessors say, path is fairytale and nicely trodden. Started from Ivarčkega jezero and descended past hut at Naravske ledine down ski slope back to car.

Hi .. for the last dry and sunny day in 2009 I chose the path Gradišče near Vipava-Gradiška tura (climbing route)-Abram-Konj-starting point.. so nicely around.. choice couldn't be better
Conditions were excellent: up to the top of Gr. tura the sun was nicely warming, to Abram you walk nicely on cool ground so not too muddy, no snow anywhere, in the chapel at Konj someone, or more, really put effort into making the nativity scene.. beautiful , saw chamois and roe deer. The path is fully marked, if a mark is missing somewhere the trodden path helps, for Konj direction you basically follow the marked path to Podnanos and a bit above the village you turn, at a very well marked junction, towards Vipava (Gr. turi). I always have a map at hand and everything is nicely drawn there.
About food at Abram I don't know, it was closed as it's Monday today .. so I stocked up in advance with homemade small sausages.. mmm, yummy

On Saturday my boyfriend and I walked the path: Savica Hut - Hut at Triglav Lakes - Zasavska Hut at Prehodavci - Tržaška Hut at Dolič (via Kanjavčeve police aka "Through Riža") - Vodnik Hut at Velem Polje. The path was nice and very hot across the valley of 7 lakes .
Just as a warning for safe stepping, mention the snow patches on the "Through Riža" path from Zasavska to Tržaška hut. Didn't expect so many at this time, counted ca. 5, some seriously hinder the crossing. Some can be bypassed from below or above, one we cut across. Some cables sway unpleasantly. It wouldn't be much of an issue if the path weren't so steep. Caution advised! Path well marked, hats off to the markers!
The rest of the path was very pleasant, everything is blooming, spotted some chamois, marmots having a regional whistling championship. Some crowding at T. Lakes hut, recommend apple pie at Zasavska, at Tržaška everyone working full throttle - builders building, wardens serving, at Vodnik the last paragliders barely got the (very comfortable) emergency beds or mats . The day ended with excellent homemade tea from the very friendly hostess Francka.

On Saturday we went to the summit from Prtovča via Razor. At the beginning ice and mud, then somehow you step along the aforementioned bob track . Namely, it was sinking quite a bit, especially on the way down.
Still it was a nice trip and the hutkeeper recommended another visit when everything is dry and in bloom. Nice day!
