Hiked this route 14 days ago but first to Vevnica then along the ridge to Ponc and down the valley to the lakes. No snow anywhere and no stream either. Trip quite long. We hiked with my buddy for a good 10 hours. Had about 4.5 liters of various drinks and it worked out. Of course it depends a lot on the weather. Then it was just the right temperature and even a few drops fell but it didn't hinder the path at all. At the start from Vevnica towards Poncs the protections are OK, later you have to find your own way sometimes, because the various cables are of very different vintages and preserved accordingly. Markings are very faded in places. Nevertheless, it was my nicest trip which I'll gladly repeat in the future. All in all, it's really for very experienced hikers.
