Does anyone know if you need crampons for the path via Komarče - Black Lake - Komna?

Has anyone been yesterday or today to Komna? Is the trail still passable without crampons, as stoparB and Ajda wrote? The hut on Komna is open anyway, right?
Thanks for reply, best,

Tomorrow I plan to climb Dobrča from Brezje near Tržič. Does anyone know, will I need crampons?
Thanks for the reply!

Last extended weekend my friend and I used for a 3-day hike in Karavanke. For warming up we started from Ljubelj towards Preval; from there to Roblek, from Roblek to Zelenica. From Zelenica directly to Stol first very nice path, but towards end gets more demanding (and end not in sight)... Anyway towards evening with a family from Styria we arrived at Prešeren hut. View towards Bled took breath, really very nice, though windy and quite cold.
In the hut they took good care of us and in the morning we headed to Golica. In the afternoon we arrived at hut below Golica and found out to Dovje still 6 hours!!! So we took "free afternoon" and only next day continued. Path from Golica to Dovje partly poorly marked, otherwise nice and not too strenuous. After conquering Dovška Baba, we started descending to valley (poor marks!!!). At Dovje we paid homage to Great Slovene, Jakob Aljaž. Let me mention that most of the path we did is named after him.
We spent 3 wonderful days, gaze always stopping at "Zlatorog Kingdom", our next goal. Nice mountaineer's greeting!!!

Last year for the first time to Jerebikovec... I thought "easy", one morning a bit to the hills... but it really gave me a boost... it is really quite steep... Luckily good weather and right on the top the view to the Julian Alps opens; I think Stanic hut is well visible, above it Kingdom of Zlatorog!

...I'm not at that stage yet...I'm fine as I am...yeah I walked from 14 October to 9 November, I think that's 26 days. with that, it was really tough in Pamplona and I was there 3 days... I booked the return flight on the way, so I could allow myself time freedom!!! awesome!!!

Don't get me wrong... I myself transcended the rational scene and various spiritual awakenings that supposedly many experience on this path, I wasn't part of them. But I still enjoyed the path unceasingly, partied a lot, met tons of interesting people from all over the world and generally had a super time!!!

My experience with the backpack is the following. I went on an 800 km long hike to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Despite a good backpack and extremely reduced weight, after a few days, when I walked 20, 30 km and more every day, many things hurt (I wasn't the only one). Then we pilgrims came up with a new view on the backpack. The backpack is part of my body that admires the world from my back side. I also gave it a name: Peter! Soon it was no longer my/our burden, but became my/our friend who accompanies me today wherever I go! (not to mention conversations with Peter, how much we debated on lonely paths...). For me personally a really interesting experience!!!

Super 77-year-old, all compliments!!!
of course there are other hills, but many a mountaineer has no car, so access to them is quite difficult. once again 77-year-old mountaineer, ALL COMPLIMENTS!!!!!

Year 2009 I'll remember for the traverse of Bohinj mountains to Prihodavci hut and down to Zadnjica. Followed a heartwarming meeting with friends that my friend and I met last year on Krn, and hike towards Gorenjska over pasture Za skalo to Triglav lakes and back towards Bohinj. Of course unforgettable also trips to Karavanke and meetings with good people and with oneself. Good luck also in 2010!

You are really strongly ecologically aware, which makes me very happy...if you are at least half as such also in the valley, we don't need to fear for the future. I obviously don't belong in your circle...because I like to dance and scream so much on Roblek to the beautiful Avsenik music that sings the beauty of mountains and Slovenia in general, when there is a party once a year for those few hours.
I myself strongly wish that this party remains, because so many happy faces with positive energy I don't meet anywhere else.
