At the junction of the military road to Stari Utro we leave the car and walk up to the 24th bend. From here onwards the remains of the road are so abandoned and collapsed that continuing is possible only on foot. A little below Stari Utro the forest thins and white peaks appear in the direction of Triglav. From the hunting hut at Stari Utro we continue along a modest path to the summit where all the beauty of the peaks above Trenta reveals itself. To Stari Utro there are some snow patches, further to the summit a few cm of wet snow and it poses no problems. To below Stari Utro the road runs through forest, no views, but at the hunting hut and summit we are rewarded with superb panorama. In current conditions highly recommended tour.

From Loška Koritnica, first a bit on our own, we continue "over štenge", along the marked path towards the saddle Čez Brežice. A little below the saddle we turn left and descend deep into Loški žleb. We cross the gully and continue along its western side to a grassy shoulder from which there's a nice view directly to the outlet of Loški žleb on Jezerih. We cross Dolge prode and we're at the top. The view into Loška Koritnica is really scary, the wall drops without interruption to the valley bottom. Descent continues with ascent along Dolge prode to the exit gully on the marked path Kotovo sedlo-Jalovec. Along it we descend (partly snowy) to Kotovo sedlo. Descent to Loška Koritnica drags on and on.
Whoever doesn't mind walking on scree, gravel and talus, this tour is tailor-made for them.

Winter gear is still required for the approach to the summit.

The guidebook comes in very handy: Path through the Svečinske Hills. In autumn, this path is wonderful.

As said, glacier tour with all that comes with it, far from easy, very little frequented. Already to the glacier hard to follow, on descent even more.

Tackle the mountain from Osnabruecker Huette, that's a proper glacier tour for 2 days. Technically and orientationally demanding. Of course, this variant isn't for those who often look at the clock.

Martin Dercar, unfortunately or "painfully" as you put it, it's also that you can't write three, four understandable sentences about your unpleasant experience.

Who stops you, go and give report. Nothing better than stepping in virgin snow.

We start at the road junction before the entrance to Vlačno valley. Up we go first along the road to Vlačno and then left on the mountain path to the top. Snow actually starts already in Trnje village and since we're going right into it, energy consumption is high. At the top the bora shows its teeth, so we take shelter in the church's windbreak. We descend towards Slovenska vas, but only to the forest road, along which we return to the starting point. Currently the tour could also be done with touring skis (except the last 300 m).

Currently the path from Little to Rear Mojstrovka is well trodden, but after the forecasted snowfall it will be completely different. We choose our own path and approach Rear Mojstrovka via Velika Dnina. The snow is of various qualities, from parts that hold a person to those with thick slabs of dry snow. Below the ridge we come across traces of predecessors who descended here, which eases the ascent for the last 150 meters of elevation to the ridge.

LISAC, make a calculation that brings you profit and start, who stops you. Maybe even 4.0 EUR is too high a price.

All who get fired up about the closed road to Vrata in winter, organize yourselves, get a concession for that period, ensure road passability and collect toll. For example, 4.0 EUR.

Road to Križovec is snowy and icy but drivable.

Below Vrtinjlogarska planina we step on well-maintained (need to saw some trees lying across the path) path 509a, which brings us to the forest hut Mulejev vrh. Here excellent view of Poliske Špike. Weather worsening is approaching so we continue on hiking path and then off-trail to overgrown Mulejev vrh. Off-trail we continue to Zahomec and descend to Zahomska planina. From here hiking path leads to Vrtinjlogarsko sedlo but we leave it at suitable spot and off-trail reach Vrtinjlogarska planina.
