Hello, everyone!

I'm a new, still unpaid alpinist. Maybe you'll all laugh, but alpinism literally calls me to it.
Why the topic title Everest?
Because it's probably the unattainable/attainable mountain of every alpinist. My question is the following. Who was the first Slovenian on the almighty mountain? Probably or surely we all know. Of course, our late Nejc Zaplotnik. But I'm interested in who it was or at how many years the youngest alpinist reached this holy mountain?

Yesterday my dad and I went to Snežnik. I know I'll get a lot of criticism for this and who knows what else but okay Conditions were dismal at the start (rain, snow) about halfway it all stopped until the "top". Unfortunately the path wasn't visible so we trampled a bit at times. Because conditions (as we know) change from minute to minute we didn't waste time at the top so we turned back right away.

Mont Blanc, I have in mind for next year. This year I intend to tackle our high mountains. Triglav etc.

I was on Vremščica today. Summit covered in clouds, 50m below clear. Sadly windy but wind doesn't bother me

If you have 3 lenses then think about 2 bodies too... just kidding. Yeah that can really be big problem (lens change). But in my opinion in wall I'd shoot with wide angle. Angie can I ask are you on Canon or Nikon or other photo makers. I don't discriminate just for INFO to see what most carry to mountains.

Of course I'm aware of dangers. Luckily I have dad who did alpinism before (hobby alpinist) and won't let me rush headlong into snowy mountains. He too says you got time. Grintovec not bad choice but this year not yet maybe next or next 100%.. This year still climb smaller hills. Gotta get out of sneakers sometime.

Depends what you plan to photograph. Say if you mean nature photography (landscapes,...) better buy some wider angle lens. Nikon I know has very expensive lenses but SIGMA has relatively cheap. If you plan to photo animals too then better buy 18-250mm since those 50mm sometimes really come in handy. But I've never sworn by lenses of such ranges. Because quality is very POOR on these lenses, so you can't expect some very quality pics. Regarding equipment I never said anything, because I know what the prices are and that I will start buying equipment slowly. Now there are sales and it's worth it.

Everest is just my dream mountain maybe the route will suit me sometime. Otherwise everything is still up in the air because of school if all is ok with school I'll go this year (I hope) to the SP course and at the end of the year also the Alpine course. About the youth section I'm not so sure. I'll think some more.
