So nothing trodden? Would have to break trail all the way.

I'll set off on Sunday early morning. I hope to start from Kamniška Bistrica at 3 a.m., because they forecast snowfall.

Today my brother and I headed up the left side into Y. We started a bit earlier, no crowds yet. Snow windblown. Wind soon erased the tracks. When returning via the south back, we met lots of hikers going via the south and also one larger group roped that headed to Y. Initially foggy, but as we went toward the top, fog cleared and it was pleasantly warm. Nice Sunday outing.

Hello. For some time I've wanted to go from Laghi di Fusine to Mangart (Via Italiana). Since I recently saw on Hribi.net somewhere that this path is closed again. Wondering if anyone knows if it's open, or where I could check. Thanks for your answers.
Regards.

On national holiday 25.6.2011 we set off at 6.20am from in front of Poštarski dom at Vršič pass towards Prisank. I chose Kopiščar route, while the puffers chose somewhat easier ascent than mine, Slovenian route. I arrived at Prisank in 3h 20min. Had to cross 3 snowfields, which were icy in the morning hours, had some minor issues, secured only with ice axe, so lost a bit more time there. At Prisank, we showed some patriotism with flag display. Back to valley around 1 pm. On the way home, stopped by Soča river, which with its crystal water attracted people. There we walked a bit, took pics and slowly headed home. Had wonderful weather, day was phenomenal.

Snow to Kredarica, only on some parts and on Kalvarija. Before ascent to Mali Triglav there's still some snow, but it's southern, no snow in the wall itself, path is bare to Veliki Triglav, so winter gear no longer needed.

I always had a secret wish to see the sunrise on Triglav. On Saturday it came to mind, so I called the weather guy about the weather. I head up at 23:30 from Krma, due to too fast progress I later took more breaks. On Triglav I welcomed the sunrise, indescribable moments. On the return to the valley I drank some fresh mountain water (of course I stopped at Kredarica, where I drank the deserved sadjevec and cold beer), which flowed right down the path. I ended the wonderful day at 8:30 and headed home, or rather to work. Wonderful day behind me.

Nice greetings. Next week if the weather allows, my brother and I plan to go to Rjavina from Kot valley via climbing path or Tominšek's. Wondering if anyone has been nearby recently to tell conditions, amount of snow.
thanks.

On Sunday 22.5 my colleague and I set off from the Krma valley towards our Očak. The day before I inquired about the conditions.
Around 8 a.m. we arrived at Kredarica, where we made a short stop, refreshed ourselves and headed to Triglav. The weather was phenomenal at first, then it slowly started to cloud over and fog rose; according to the meteorologist's forecast there shouldn't have been a thunderstorm, so we set off nicely towards the summit. The snow was southern, so walking with crampons was quite unpleasant. During the ascent there was already quite some bare path, so it was also more awkward to walk with crampons. During the ascent we met 2 groups, one larger and one smaller, all foreigners whom we later learned had come up on Saturday and slept there. At the summit we had wonderful weather and a beautiful view of Austria, sadly the view of beautiful Slovenia was covered by fog and clouds.
At 11.15 a.m. we arrived back at Kredarica. For the descent to the Krma valley we took a little more time, as it didn't look like it would rain. We stopped at the shepherd's hut where there was a waterfall right there, took some photos there, drank excellent water that was flowing (hope I manage to upload the picture).
It was very nice.

Nice greeting to all.
I'm wondering if anyone was on Krn recently; the conditions interest me. How much snow is left, and which path would be good to go up. Thanks

8.5 on Sunday, we also set off towards Golica. Morning weather was wonderful. In the afternoon it caught us, or rather my friends, I got to the valley early.
Narcissus still blooming.

On Sunday 27.2 I set off from Krma valley towards Kredarica. Wonderful morning. I don't know how it was during the day. When I arrived around 8 a.m. at Kredarica, some hikers were visible who were already on the way to Triglav. Conditions to Kredarica, without ice axe and crampons access was possible (but for safety, it's still good to have them with you, in case of use). With car you can go further from Kovinarska hut, some 400m or more. Lp

Yes, yesterday it was really wonderful weather. Apparently there were even more visitors on Saturday...

On Wednesday or Thursday I plan to visit Triglav. For the ascent I'll go via Planika and Triglav Notch. Wondering if better to descend to Kredarica or same way back, since there'll be snow.
Thanks for replies.

Nice greeting
I'm interested where best to descend to the Belopše lakes, if starting from there too via Via Italiana to Mangart
Thanks.
