There's never time for two-thousanders, so we head towards Janč and spot a big sign saying Ostrovrharjeva pot while driving. Never heard of it and decision made to check out this historical curiosity. The trail is circular, we did the part leading past two castles. Couldn't see the first as it's private property, the second at the top has just remains of two walls. Area very overgrown. Then we descended a steep path down to the quarry where they carved millstones in the wall. The path should continue here but it's completely overgrown and impassable, so we backtracked part way and continued the circular trail.

I sent an email to Mojstrano and PD Kr.gora asking if there will be a night hike with torches to Peričnik this year too. They haven't sent a reply. Maybe one of you knows.

I suggest two not strenuous trails with nice views:
1st day: Ski hotel Vogel - Komna, overnight.
2nd day: Komna via Bogatinsko sedlo to Krn Lake and to hut in Lepena.

Today with my grandchildren we went via Kašna Planina to Kranjska Reber. Windy, especially on top, so we barely squeezed into shelter just below the summit for a snack. Enjoyed company of cows and horses grazing on Kašna Planina. Tired and in good spirits back to the valley.

VanSims, it's worth reading your blog with paths from various countries, hills and valleys ....nice pictures and nicely written. Congratulations!
