I drove to Golek near Vinica. I parked on the meadow there too. Later I realized it would be better to park in Vinica at the church. At the Kolpa landscape park sign I turned into the moderately steep hill. There is a Stations of the Cross along the path and soon I was at the top. The church inside is beautiful, special. The surroundings are still completely unspoiled. It was really pleasant to sit in the shade of mighty trees. Lots of people that day, most drove by car to the top. With the car I did over 300km and on foot cca 1% of the car journey.

Today visited Mrzla gora. Started at Jezersko (Ravenska Kočna), continued on Slovenian path to Kranjska koča, Jezersko saddle, Savinjsko saddle, a bit down towards Okrešelj and then to Mrzla gora. Return on climbing path under Rinkami to Kranjska koča and descent to valley. Path to Mrzla gora is demanding so I went some on two some on all four. Path is varied, a bit up-down-up. They say in old times many crossed border smuggling here and many froze so mountain got name.

After long postponement, worries, fear, preparation, I finally managed the Via Italiana ferrata too. Started during the day from Belopeška Lakes. Not many hikers heading to Via Italiana, I counted five of us at early hour. To Bivak Nogara (cca 1900m) the path is quite steep except the first kilometer on gravel. At Bivak Nogara the door glass is shattered so now the pane hangs. Under the bivak a thin stream of water flows. The ferrata is in excellent condition in my opinion. Lots of people at the top despite workday. Down via Slovenian path to the saddle, back to Bivak Nogara and to the valley. Total a bit more than 13km walked, 2000m ascent.

Nice photos, nice landscape. But was Hapy at home? It's nice that you describe new paths and new places for us.

Today on Storžič a bit foggy, but cheerful.

Drove to Jezersko, turned left at Kanonir and then straight a few more kilometers to the barrier. From there continued on foot along the nice gravel road for another kilometer or two. Then turned left off-trail up the hill and reached the ridge between Turn and Licjanovec. There is supposed to be a path from the valley, but I couldn't find it. On the ridge, surprise, a new forest road has been built from the other side. Looks like they're going to log big time. Continued along the ridge to Licjanovec. Got off the path twice, and once more bushwhacked through scrub. Otherwise, it's a nice little path routed sometimes along the edge of a precipice. From Licjanovec continued to M. Grintavec. From there to Bašelj Peak and down to Bašelj Saddle and back to the car along the marked trail. No logbook or stamp at Bašelj Peak, and the pencil at M. Grintavec wasn't writing.

Looks like Styrians are not active at all. Where do you go to this peak from?

Correct. These are the Holy Mountains above Sotla. Here Matjaž, pose the next riddle.

Have Dakota 20, topo Slovenia and Adria route. Device in valley accurate to 3 meters. In mountains but when walking same path up and down path can record quite few meters different. That is in walls, steep terrain can be very dangerous. Have two AA aku 2700mAh batteries and two spares. One pair older batteries sometimes doesn't last whole day.

On hribi.net it would be nice if the path starting point was marked with latitude and longitude, just like the goal or summit is marked.

Yesterday I went from Zgornje Ležeče to the top. You can also get to Zgornje Ležeče village by train. Excellent hiking spot and use of public transport.

I did the path from Sovodenj to Bevkov vrh, hut at Ermanovec, Štor, Ermanovec and a bit across to Sovodenj. From the top of Ermanovec to Sovodenj I didn't find the marked path, didn't want to go back to the hut. Since Jur isn't there yet I went across the meadows and arrived in the valley almost directly at the parking in Sovodenj. It was 16km, some path on asphalt.
