From Suho sedlo, that's when you come from Pusti rovt, along the ridge towards Golica on the left full of them. I was yesterday.

More or less regarding conditions. Conditions to Kredarica are excellent. Well trodden and firm. No sinking on the path, only off the path. Crampons probably from Prgarca onwards. For the top of Očak best to go early in the morning, because later the sun softens the snow and chance for snow slide quite big. Such conditions I have experienced but they can change from day to day depending on the weather. Last days have been excellent for going into the embrace of the mountains. Good luck. Today in Rateče 40 to 50 cm new snow. In total it's around 120 or even more cm.

Yes. That's right. If looking towards south and hut on right, go from the top straight down then for a while into the gully a bit left. There are two clearings. In between some spruces. Then watch out not to go all the way to the bottom of the gully. Where spruces in the middle end, there's still about 100 to 200 m and turn right. See my last pic. In the middle spruces then they end and after about those meters as I wrote go right and reach road bend.
Otherwise yes. Virgin snow gives such pleasure that you can burst from happiness. Especially if everything, including the weather, matches up. Then we can really thank Nature for such conditions. Just now a few days to wait because quite some has fallen.

Yesterday, the 22nd, I headed to the top. Start from lower Mlince near the power plant. With snowshoes first a bit on the road, across ditches and through the forest, past Cica and the hut on the pasture to the top. While it was gray in the valley, Nature spoiled me on top with blue sky and sun. Fresh snow is 30-40 cm. On top a few cm more. Bottom has hard base. From the top descent with dilo on celcu straight down the gully. Excellent "pela". On steeper areas possibility of triggering avalanches. Today was not a wasted day and it was one for the soul.

Hope you didn't wander much from monument to there. If so, you explored local area more. Pics say it all, true. Views for the soul. And from there they really move you, the beauties of our Father and neighboring peaks. Many happy steps ahead.

Yes. With parkelcam we were there. Next day another one behind us. So if there wasn't too much snow, our tracks are still visible. But tomorrow snow is forecast again so we'll need to make a new trail.

You know easiest would be if a group gathered then I'd just take them and show the beauties of home area.

This scenic spot is right of the path to Jerebikovec. Easiest way there is right along the ridge from the monument at Tilčev rovt. Monument is right at the saddle right by the path. From there keep right a bit along the ridge then more to the right. Then on the right there's a small hillock. Don't let it mislead you cuz that's not the spot. Go straight past the hillock and you get there. There's a log like a bench and a dry tree. Picture shows the spot and monument behind which you go to the spot. To Jerebikovec from there go left facing Triglav. Through woods and head to Jerebikovec. Reach the road and path to top. Hope description good. For info write me PM. Cheers. I went today only to the hut at Vrata Pasture. At the hut two told me someone went to the ridge on skis. So apparently it's doable with skis, or snowshoes. The winter path is a bit different than the summer one.
To Peričnik it's also possible right of the hut, facing Vrata valley. But in winter it's dangerous due to avalanches.
Anya, did you slide down with some sled or shovel?

First - I apologize for the term "conquered", it wasn't meant like some of you got stuck on it. The word came under my fingers. I wasn't thinking about words. I wanted to describe the trip. We weren't winners either, we humbly and with respect to the mountain gods entered the gullies.

Second - some of you have nothing better to do than look for mistakes in others' writing and see what someone "wrongly" wrote. And then you trumpet that for days and fill the forum with nonsense for no reason. Better be happy that someone writes something about the path and the conditions that day.

Third - thanks to some who don't interfere with words and are satisfied, just like me, when I can't be in the embrace of mountains and read articles, and rejoice while reading and somehow relive the author's trip.

But probably it's a hobby for some and often they achieve that some stop writing on forums. That's how it is. I'll borrow the words of alpinist Čop and Triglav priest Urbanija "Bohlonej k smo prjatli". Enjoy your paths and safe steps in the mountain kingdom. Roman Veber.

Today with friends we set off from Vršič via Butinarjeva to MM. After Butinarjeva, one decided to go to the top, but we two took Pripravniški dol and then Župančičeva to the top of MM. We went along the left side of Župančičeva, not the right. After the summit, descent to Vršič via Pripravniška. Conditions were excellent. Frozen snow in the gullies gave even more pleasure. Today in the embrace of the Mojstrovkas there were some 10 to 15 hikers. LP
