If I had to meet someone, I'd much rather meet a wolf than a bear

Yes @turbo, with help of those pics I figured it could be a wolf. @ločanka, if it wouldn't want anything from me I'd like to meet bear too

I agree with @djimuzl, but it's too late for that bear unfortunately. If they released it back into nature now it would die because it's not used to living in the wild.

Ornithologist! Under "Birds" I posted that on 24.11. around 13 o'clock very loud cranes, about 60 of them, were flying over Preska near Medvode towards Škofja Loka hills.

Hi, thanks for the crane info. As a fun fact, this year's autumn migration is record-breaking again. Across Slo we've collected data on ca. 40 thousand cranes. They keep coming. Already clear that 2019 will be record for them (spring + autumn migration). Where the final number stops, we'll know mid-December probably. If anyone else sees them, please report. regards!

Ornithologist, something for you! Today at 16.30, classic flight direction from NE to SW over Brezovica near Ljubljana. You'll have to count them yourself. regards

Small footprints go for a walk next to big footprints... For certain animal species it's nothing special if another species reduces their population by a third in two months.

@andi2 which animal's track is this? I'm trying to figure out what's in the picture but I can't.

Unfortunately I didn't succeed either, although I dedicated part of the trip specifically to observing wildlife tracks. The tracks were more than a day old and in the thaw, this one was the best preserved. Temporally and spatially they followed larger related tracks, both animals had five claws each. Interesting was observing deer tracks, where it was visible that animals don't necessarily walk with some purpose, but more by the principle of whatever catches attention on the hike at that moment

It's a real vixen. Seems to me they're seen more often lately than before even in cities .

ales, thanks; ločanka, I also notice that I meet her more often here and there, but she always slipped away from my sight too fast. This time it worked though..
