can you give a hint where you took the honey buzzard? And do you perhaps know if it was (they were) from Cres or from Friuli (Cornino)?

This morning a whole flock of noisy (I think) cranes flew from the south to the northwest. They flew in from around Brezovica over Medvode towards Brnik or in the direction of Storžič.

Excellent! Now is the proper time for cranes. In the last few days I saw almost 2,000, most at Cerkniško Lake.

Yes, on Wednesday above Kranj two screeching flocks in V-formation flew to the west.

Today at 13 two larger flocks of noisy cranes flew over the Ljubljana Marshes near Podpeč. They flew from east to west, somehow over the Ljubljanica river itself. Each flock ca. 40-50 cranes.

ornithologist, yesterday around 14h a flock of cranes flew over Komenda. They flew in V shape and were quite loud, camera was too far to catch them. They flew towards Preddvor.....regards

You'll surely know how to answer my question. It's a bird that flies low over water, similar to dipper. When perching on a rock protruding from water, it wags tail like wagtail. Front part under beak is white, smaller size than pigeon, larger than dipper. Which bird is it?

I need help. Which grebe is it? In Slovenia we find little, crested, red-necked-in Slovenia rare, horned-supposedly winters here, black-necked-in winter also supposed to winter here. Am I right that it's crested.
