Viharnik, thanks for info. Was on Blegoš Sunday. Path from Potok to hut ok, skiing was a bit rodeo-like. My buddy and I kept right by ridge path, then hit gully fully packed with trunks. Squeezed past with some trouble. Quite some broken in next gully under road too, but found nice bypass right and skied nicely. Too bad for upper gully, Blegoš great tour.

Parked a bit above Suša village, from Hotavlje to here then on foot to Črni kal and along ridge to top, awaited sunset there, really nice and almost no wind.

I leave the car above Hotavljam-Suša at approx. 700 m a.s.l.

Yesterday's spring weather lured many Blegoš fans to its top, some with skis too, though snow not abundant and south snow not great for skiing. Morning well trodden track from Leskovica slightly frozen, return thawed and slippery, don't forget poles at home. Some used small crampons, welcome in the morning esp steeper parts.

View back, everywhere today was weather paradise...

The beech forests on Blegoš are beautiful.

Blegoš still has some hair on its bald head.

It greeted me from below already, but hid too much behind the trees.

Even in Ljubljana they had sun, the picture tells otherwise.

There are plenty of snowdrifts everywhere

On Krvavec they probably enjoyed it too.

At the top there is more grass than snow

Yes, it is winter and thus winter joy too.

In such weather, it won't scare people for long.

On Thursday (12.2.) went to Blegoš from Cerkno ski area. Path trodden, sinks some places but only to ankles. From hut to top trodden too, but very slippery some spots. Caution not superfluous. No winter gear used. Summit blown clean. Views wonderful as usual. nasmeh

Saturday conditions on Blegoš eek

, don't believe unless you try. Locals said conditions on Blegoš very changeable due to air flow changes, Porezen counts too.
With snow and wind, quick freezing.
Need to go to Blegoš again in nicer weather, maybe May 1st. nasmeh

Almost sure I'll visit it on May 1st, usually we planned Čemšeniško then.
Blegoš is a real paradise for flowers. nasmeh

Today to Blegoš from Črnega Kala along the ridge. The path was so icy, I recommend microspikes. At the hut in the lee real spring martinčkanje nasmeh

. Return by road.

Anyone happen to know if there's snow on Blegoš? Or rather, is the path clear?

Today from Leskovica via unmarked path to Blegoš. Below lots of broken and uncleared trees, plus quite a few new forcibly made paths (guess that's GG Tolmin), higher up as usual, that's why we pick this path. Snow barely any, just for show.
Birds chirping merrily, saw a chamois too.
Blegoš always surprises!

This time to Blegoš in summer variant instead of winter, which is also beautiful, as the top is a real botanical garden; views beautiful as always, quite a few visitors; I chose circular from Kala; yeah, Blegoš really always surprises - pleasant!

even the cows have embellished the mountain idyll

Today on Blegoš from the village Laze. The path through the forest was a bit muddy, on the top it was windy. Views beautiful nasmeh

Since snow fell, lower peaks came into consideration again and Blegoš was the first and good choice today. Ascent from Leskovica via hunting path, return past the hut towards Laze, then turnaround past bivouac over Kovk and nice loop was closed. Finish with coffee at cousin in Leskovica. nasmeh

Start at Suša near Hotavlje, where I climb a steep slope, through forest, which after half an hour of walking brings me to a forest road connecting higher-lying farms. There I continue quite steeply up through dense beech woodland, then along the ridge, which brings me high above Likarjeva senožet. Then marked to the top of Blegoš, where I await the sunset, then descend westward via the other southern hunting path to the junction for Jelovica/Črni kal, where I descend via the marked steep path to Jelovica. Then return via forest path to the point where I previously came up and by memory back to the valley Suša/Hotavlje.
