dore - yesterday the road to the forest was dry further icy, but there were quite a few cars parked at the Črni Kal parking lot, so with good tires no problem until next snowfall.

28-1-2018 Blegoš; wonderful ascent in sunny winter calm (which is rarer), offered beautiful far views to numerous hikers at the top. Approach from Črni Kal direction, road drivable all the way to parking lot

Hey, Pohodnica53, we saw each other Sunday up top. You finally got Triglav without cloud shadow :-) .
Really was a beautiful day and surprisingly Blegoš without wind.

Afternoon Črni Kal and along ridge to Blegoš summit. Nicely trodden and summit almost windless, snow 1m+. Descent past hut back to Črni Kal, nice track there too. Road plowed from Žetina, drivable with winter tires.

Today admiring winter idyll on Blegoš. From Leskovica hardened track to Jelenci, on hunting path following footprints since track not yet hardened, and fitting for hunting path. No followers, on whole loop met only two skiers at top, one hiker who came to sign before hut, and one starting ascent on my return.
View from top always surprises me as I always discover something new. This time new view of Škrlatica, though identified with effort only at home. Also Kal in view, appearing towards Montaža or right before it.
yes, fog surprised too, rising right at top from Porezen direction, but luckily dispersed somehow.

To Blegoš this time from Potok from Selška valley direction. To 180 degree turn path plowed or road, reachable also with skis on verges. From there track for touring skiers to hut and summit. Hut open, on path some hikers and more skiers gathered

Behind us another hellishly cold day. Thermometer in woodshed behind hut shows -15°C.
Not too strong wind carries sparse snowflakes. Hut officially not open, but at table inside sits caretaker contentedly reading paper. Though sees person, doesn't invite to warm!? NOTHING PRAISEWORTHY for caretaker and Mountaineering Association Škofja Loka.
Behind hut only friendly kitty greets you, become real icon of Blegoš.

miri, I believe him, because if he was "drunk" he wouldn't play music that could be heard from the hut 14 days ago, likewise on Thursday.

because it says the hut is always open, don't know where it says it's officially closed?
