My impression from Sunday trip in those areas:
hut-sterile self-service tavern, like there are more and more recently in mountains.
Shelter at Jelenci-authentic atmosphere in a humbler hut, but one feels really welcome there-eh what can we do if we're incorrigible romantics and nostalgics

On the door it says the hut is open this time on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 07:00 on. And if you're thirsty and hungry in front of the door on Thursday, nothing helps, you have to come on Friday too

If you're at the hut thirsty and hungry outside opening hours, it means you took too little food and drink with you!
If it says closed, it's closed.

To be honest, traditionally mountain huts didn't even have real opening hours. If someone was there, you usually got something anyway. If it's not like that at Blegoš, then - well, that's basically the logic of a tavern.

Most already carry 10-20 kg on their backs, so one wonders what else you need from the hut? Some have to add stones to the backpack just to have some weight

Just saying bro, you don't get it, we gotta weigh down otherwise empty backpack. What's not clear here. Some carry suckling pig and need hut service on top, others don't carry much food and don't need hut. Otherwise thanks, next time invite you along

I was up there last Friday too when the hut was supposed to be open, but ran into only snow-covered doors in front of the hut and no living soul anywhere.

I drove to Črni kal, gravel part had a bit more mud, asphalt was great. Up the ridge path on some steps. To the top in short sleeves, no cold wind, not warm either. From top descended to hut where I saw two cats. Descended along track towards Črni kal but soon left track and right down steep forest on butt to path, then walk to Črni kal.
