Locally it's already bare, but there's still quite a bit of snow in the gullies; until the sun hits it, it's quite hard. It might not be wrong to have crampons/chains with you (that's what I heard from some visitors). Of course it also depends a bit on where you start.

On Thursday there was plenty of everything: ice, frozen snow, wet snow and water on top.
Small crampons are never too much.
redbull: Slowly Grošelj and Karničar will be proper apprentices compared to you. For now they have the advantage that they don't blabber anywhere.

Blegoš still a bit snowy, as funnyboy and julius say, crampons can come in handy. There were quite a few visitors today, most without crampons. Just gym shoes I don't recommend, which was observable today too.

Reading quite late, well, we were on Blegoš last weekend. Since I don't post all my hikes, current conditions are already past. What would I add to current conditions?
Start from Zali Log towards the top. Past village Potok towards the top, gathering teloh, met only 2 hikers at the hut.
The path is very poorly marked, since most start from Kala. Who would go to Blegoš from the valley.
Well, we managed
to get to the starting point off-path.

I must praise the entire team at the Blegoš hut! They made an effort so we spent a pleasant weekend there, food was excellent, rooms tidy and clean, atmosphere great.

I was on Blegoš yesterday and can confirm that spring is already in full swing. On the road there are patches of ice here and there, which you just go around (or deliberately don't, to slide a bit) and a little below the summit or here and there on a shady spot there's some small snow, which will come in handy for kids for a snowball, nothing more.
Yesterday the playground in front of the hut was full of little ones, the hut itself was clean, tidy and with friendly service, so it was really pleasant.

Today from Črni Kal, up and down via J trail "via Prva Ravan" - trail dry as pepper, everything blooming.
