Today to Blegoš from Črni Kal direction via direct path up and back past the hut. Proper winter conditions. Path is trodden.

On Saturday, as usual every year in January, to Blegoš from Leskovica direction past the shelter at Jelenci; morning road still slippery, especially last part to parking by the church, return already fully dry; snow track well trodden by many hikers, no need to worry much about orientation; despite cold and cold wind on top, we fully enjoyed the beautiful winter fairy tale, with wonderful views this peak offers; hut open of course, quite a few visitors, hikers and ski fans who carved tracks right from Blegoš top; lpnasmeh

First up to Koprivnik, then back to start and then to Blegoš. Path to Koprivnik not trodden, but not much snow. To Blegoš, path trodden, south-facing snow so walking easy. Last time icy. Top pleasant, almost no wind.

Today on Blegoš, path well trodden, quite a lot of snow (drifts), but very windy today, many visitors. Nice regards

On Blegoš today not too many hikers, but quite a few skiers. To Črni kal is drivable, path over the top well trodden and nicer than from the hut side, where there is more snow that mushes under feet. Hut open, not too windy, so ears didn't freeze despite minus. Franci Prešeren would be pleased with such a Culture Day celebration. nasmeh Well, I was.

Today with granddaughter and friend to Blegoš. Up from Črni Kal direct, down past hut on road. Lots of snow, almost no wind. Nice.

Today afternoon direct to top, then south side towards Prva raven and back to start on road. Still plenty snow but firm, no problems.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if the hut on Blegoš is open (PZS portal says it should be already open, weekends and holidays anyway). Been calling the GSM no. 051 614 587 for a while but unfortunately unreachable zadrega

The hut is already permanently open, closed on Mondays unless it's a holiday.

One afternoon I'd head straight from Dolenjska capital to Blegoš. Departure bit after 14h. If a bit of dark catches me back, no panic.

Which road best and fastest to get from Dolenjska highway stretch to hike starts? Approx time from Barje rest area in LJ to there?

AC to Vrhnika – Ligojna – past Horjul – direct to Gorenje vas – Hotavlje – Volaka.
That's 33km from Vrhnika to Volaka. Is that it?

If I opt for ca 800m elev gain and up hike ca 2h that's from ČABRAČE. If tackle almost 1000m elev and ca 2.5h hike then from VOLAKA. Depends on mood, strength, company. Which path more interesting, also less walking on asphalt road and other roads?

If I decide loop up from Volaka and back to Čabrače: 1. is that even sensible, possible (some trails, paths see on map)?
2. how much extra walking (length and time) await me between Čabrače (Likar farm) and Volaka (hike start)?
