Today my classmate and I climbed from Poljčane train station to the Styrian Triglav, which really lives up to its nickname.eekvelik nasmehnasmeh. To the top of the viewpoint tower from which there's a heavenly view, it took us three hours of walking, up we went past the hut where we got stamped, back we bypassed the hut, so from the top of the tower to the train station 50 minutes walking. Altogether we walked less than four hours. We decided we'll definitely return to Boč.

Very nice. But didn't take pics at the top so we can see if there's still some snow.... Otherwise, nice trip...

The Easter bellflower growing place is somewhere there on your 31st photo top right and a bit more to the right which isn't on the picvelik nasmeh.

Thanks Stanko, so that means the growing place is down by the hut and not at the top. But at the hut I saw a sign for Velikonočnica hut, so I assume the Easter bellflower growing place is somewhere nearby there.

Yesterday I was up there. Super weather. Nice trip.

Near the hut under Boč, 20 minutes walk, there's also the Velikonočnica hut, which in my opinion is quite neglected. On Sunday we went there for the first time ourselves, pleasantly surprised by the wonderful view and sight on Posavsko-Zasavsko hills, you can identify all peaks from Malič to ... Čemšenika.
Really worth descending to this hut, which is nicely arranged, but open only on weekends.

Boč has two summits, one is where the transmitter is, the other where the viewpoint tower is

02.06.2013 circular hike to landscape park Boč & Plešivec and also this time from Studenice. Suitable starting point, somewhat quieter than Zgornje Poljčane and from in front of the monastery complex directly up the old Roman road and continuing along hunting feeders through Stara drevesnica to junction with forest road at 745m towards the tower. Could continue to the tower but decided for descent to Formila clearing and continuation to 822m high Plešivec along Rogaška Slatina hunting hut and Gavez farmstead. Circled Plešivec with help of Štajerska mountain brotherhood path and forest road and then descent along climbing area, partisan hospital back to Formila clearing mežikanje but kept it circular for a few meters/no overlap and then continuation on mountain path to Makole to forest road from there descent back to Studenice. Dynamic route, various surfaces from less to more demanding due to plenty of moisture and mud too. Met...two hunters, three hikers, some elderflower pickers and mežikanje that's it in late Sunday afternoon...Boč & Plešivec, 02.06.2013Lp

Yes, Tuesday is one more mežikanje ,,OUT,, day…Not the first, not middle, not the last one…and idea maybe on Boč I write mežikanje a micro story…and why not descent and ascent to Boč from starting point Zgornji Gabernik, which hasn't been presented on this forum yet and personally I haven't walked it either. Pre-starting point ,,Panzeršpere,, and to them for warm-up-better said cooling with mountain bike, which I parked in abandoned quarry and from there nicely further on already known path to Boč…the sunniest path to Boč but today unfortunately still too hot to the turn-off for Zgornji Gabernik. From here path down through Galke cliffs also complete novelty for me and down the slope along quarry nicely to village center. Pleasant and, to make it complete, return back on identical route and ascent is really ,,steep,, but rewarded with pleasant views between cliffs and rocks. Time was late, bike in valley without lights, so quick extension to Velikonočnica site and return back to Bela stream valley. Nothing, short hiking activity in form of ,,Y-ilona,, novelty in/from Zgornji Gabernik, quite enough for end of day...

No danger of nationalization. In the Bela stream valley there are quite a few larger and smaller quarries, abandoned and operating...and so many options to hide the bike well and vegetation is lush this year...On shorter distances anyway a bike that already somewhat belongs more or less to mežikanje bulky waste...

Today late afternoon short hiking activity from Zgornje Poljčane to the western side of Boč under the 782 m high Dreveniška gora and this first time to the mountain hut Velikonočnica at 550 m altitude. Start at the parking above Zgornje Poljčane and about four-fifths of the ascent done on the path ,,Čez Babo,, which I left prematurely and on the forest road or partly on asphalt and macadam continued in the shortest line to the pasqueflower site on Boč. From the site descent to the mountain hut Velikonočnica on the marked path already quite deep into the Kostrivnik part of Boč. The hut was as expected closed and after a few photos return on the identical route back to the starting point.
