Nice activity. Mali Boč is interesting, probably got the name - I assume, because it is some kind of "small copy" of Boč especially in a similar arrangement of ridge parts. Officially it is not a peak but an area or part of Boč... well maybe winking peaks of Mali Boč NN height points of 684 and 687 meters. In general, we have for Mali Boč rather Dreveniška gora as the second more pronounced peak in the immediate vicinity of Boč. Mali Boč, Galke and Dreveniška gora are definitely right but towards the east - towards Donačka gora there are still some perhaps more interesting peaks or corners...Lp

I agree with you, Mali Boč is not an independent peak but a ridge with such a name, at least that's how it's written on the Geopedie map. Higher up there are two unnamed peaks as can be seen from the picture below where I drew the GPS track. These two could be the peaks of Mali Boč but I in article-post wrote it as it is on the map. Anyway, if such a winter continues and there is time, the hills you mention east of Boč will come up too, as well as Rančka-615m is interesting and the hills in the direction of Loče.

Hiking evening/night Boč and surroundings – this time unlike the previous Wednesday the central part of Boč and western line. For the central part more than a suitable starting point again Studenice/cultural home on the left bank of Dravinja and from there ascent along the Golnik cabin to the Formila clearing. From Formila to the chapel of St. Nicholas, hikers' home on Boč and pasque flower sites. Of course due to the western line descent to Pečica via Galke, and somewhere a logical continuation towards Nunska gora/St. Michael. Somewhere "guards" the slightly lower Sladka gora. Descent to Lovnik in the valley of the Bela stream along the forest road and from Lovnik again quite steep ascent to Ljubična gora/St. Mary for some final western goal. From Ljubična descent via Cerje to Zgornje Poljčane/Poljčane. Nice mini-Atura, 28 km and elevations +1322 and -1313, most of all quite annoying undefined western winds and at times strong. Paths mostly dry, temperature pleasant and since colleague Vinko is for such evening miniatures, of course he was there. Walking pace medium and also a short stop for refreshment at an acquaintance on Pečica.
Yes, somewhat extended Boč in the eastern line is definitely Stari grad/St. Anne and Ložno/St. Mary while on the west Nunska gora/St. Michael and Ljubično/St. Mary, the intermediate space offers huge opportunities and motives for "writing" concrete stories...

To Ložno evening mini-Atura from Poljčane, somehow better known among locals as Marija Ložno. In the activity specifically to the church of St. Mary of Loreto, partisan monument directly at the church and hikers' home PD Ložno St. Florian which we often skip during activities towards Donačka gora, because the junction is a few hundred meters before the mentioned points. Nice evening activity, start in Studenice, along forest road to Formila and from there along road under Plešivec peak to the Ravnocerje plateau and further to Ložno. Return somewhat more direct with the help of forest roads under Plešivec peak and Stavski vrh back to Poljčane.

On the return between junctions Ložno and Vrhovski first time with colleague to peak Štefanc, 526 m.a.s.l. Yes, conditions of course proper, paths mostly dry and dense fog above 500 m in somewhat partly cloudy weather. Km somewhat over thirty and elevation also a thousand and some more. In the air it was felt that a weather change was coming soon. Nicely used evening time, home before midnight, somewhere in the south-eastern line… still Boč but Donačka gora also nearby.

After a short time again on Boč. Up via Detička path, down past Balunjača to hut and then via Baba. Unfortunately quite a lot of mud, on top of Boč a cloud settled and no views at all.
Snow only near top and it's melting...

Can also be called Studenice-Poljčane path today...over Boč. Nice connection, quite direct. Paths soaked and muddy. On top still some old snow and a good centimeter of new snow for a pleasant atmosphere...GPS track

Afternoon smile to the tower on Boč from Studenice along the forest road. Weather wasn't exactly promising but ,,showering,, with showers here and there I took into account before leaving Poljčane. In the distance towards Konjiška gora... also thunder. On descent also across Formila clearing, partisan hospital, climbing area and already from slightly Makole areas descent back to Studenice...
Yes really wink pleasant it was to do a daily one on Boč, after several longer evening combinations.

On Thursday 1st May I set out to explore Boč more precisely to take a closer look at the characteristic rock-cliff which shows on the northern slope above Poljčane. It was excellent both the ascent and weather only the crowd so many people I haven't seen yet on Boč....parking lots ran out.

On the Rogaška part of Boč...of course near Gavez somewhere real hail Grilova chapel under the same-named hill, one of the lower peaks of Boč. From Studenice, for a change along ,,same track,, there and back. Along the path also past some important points of Boč...paths dry, various grounds, some wind and more clouds, kilometers just over 17, ascents less than a thousand and really ,,fine,, it was today in the central part of Boč shortly before noon and early afternoon before weather change...
