Yesterday I did the tour: Izvir Kamniške Bistrice-Kamniško sedlo-Brana-Kamniško sedlo-Planjava-Kamniško sedlo-Kamniška Bistrica. The path without issues, snow on all paths has melted. Yesterday locally quite hot but the wind cooled it. Few visitors and nice view.

Some snow patches under Skuta and in the direction of Veliki podi.

Boštjanca. Below Kamniško sedlo, Planjava and to the left Krofička.

Hi! I'm interested in conditions on the path from Logarska dolina (Koča pod slapom Rinka) to Brana? Snowfields, safety... Is this path nicer/harder than Jermance?

Was on Sunday at Kamniško sedlo via this path. Path dry. As far as I'm concerned, nicer than Jermance but more demanding. From the scree onwards it's a bit demanding secured path. Caution needed. Helmet highly recommended. Lp

Yesterday past Okrešelj to Brana, back stop at Kamniško sedlo. Weather? Mists were rushing almost all day and thus drawing beautiful panoramas. Brana is always beautiful.

Early morning was clear. Also quite hot. And nice views.

Many decided to visit Brana. There is really a lot of flowers.

The path from the base to the summit is really picturesque.

Just before the summit, still views of the neighbouring peaks, soon the picture changes.

If it were my first time here, I would think there are no views.

Always different, always beautiful up here.

I really love our mountains and our country. Homesickness is already creeping in.

At the path junction; there were many mountain lovers everywhere.

Breathing, blooming, paradise for lovers of alpine flowers.

Edelweiss are already there, you have to search for them with your heart.

Fog has its own charm too. This time its role was decorative.

Alpine forget-me-nots are already blooming too. Happy that I showed someone a new mountain flower for them.

The hut was full. Once in the sun, the next barely visible.

Yarrow, which heals and calms, beautiful meadow...

and the mountains quickly hide and the world is different.

We also had to put on our anoraks; never go to the mountains without warm clothes!!!

I couldn't resist taking photos, always an enchanting and beautiful sight.

Since last year, Mrzla gora constantly messes with my head and my view. Grateful that it accepted me on its summit.

Mojca on the way down to the valley. We had a nice day.

Zois bellflowers in the Okrešelj wall. Always so fragile and attractive.

Yesterday on Brana, wonderfully nice weather, path without problems, only in the chimney under the summit rocks wet, some caution needed nasmeh

Brana, today didn't offer nice views because the summit was wrapped in thick fog. But it was still a nice hike. Path without features. Nice mountaineer's greeting.

To avoid today's processions heading to Kamniško sedlo, we climbed to Brana from Okrešelj through the gully in Kotliči and from there left on the marked path coming from Turska gora, to the top of Brana.
For descent use the secured path from Sedlo, which in the afternoon hours wasn't so crowded velik nasmeh

We went to the summit through the chimney.

Nice days and dry slopes of mountains invite to high mountains and one of the options for safe walking is also ascent to Brana. The hut is closed during the week, but nevertheless there were quite a few of us who climbed to the saddle and Brana. Path without features. More at: https://www.gore-ljudje.net/novosti/150013/

From west to Brana (05.12.19)
After work at two I headed past the hut in K.Bistrica towards the saddle. I knew what I wanted, so the pace was accordingly. At the saddle snow starts, and so after an hour and a half at the first rock I prepare winter gear. Without backpack to the top. Base is good, here and there sinks a bit (loose snow), otherwise also hard. Winter variant is really great, avoid summer path, especially the slabs above it. Great weather! Descent by ascent route and quickly to the valley to wait for St. Nicholas mežikanje

From Jermanca to Brana. Path to Pastirci is dry, further towards saddle icy in places. Saddle almost entirely dry....further towards north side of Brana winter conditions and here winter gear mandatory! Met two returning from Brana who gave useful advice where to exit to the roof of Brana...thanks nasmeh

Quite some effort was needed to see this beautiful backdrop

Towards the hut at the saddle... there was quite a crowd today

But I'm going up there... northern part of Brana... winter gear mandatory!

Can be interesting; if you haven't climbed up there in winter yet, Nikol, then better not go near the secured wall at all. Not that it might be, but it's definitely all hard, icy. A straight ice axe—only old cats would have had one in old times mežikanje

Hey, don't worry. As said, use whatever, I don't doubt you can manage.
Brana from Okrešelj in winter is of course no walkover, that's clear to everyone.

And how do you know where the secured part is if it's say under snow?
In June it'll probably be good for ascent when it's dry

On Brana despite inversion super conditions still hold. So already before the signpost I head directly to the summit. Steepness real, base unforgiving, mostly icy - right tool choice and strong legs required. Exit directly to the top at the cross. At top well above freezing and calm. Descent mostly same way to get more pump nasmeh

ps: in scree under scree slope towards Bistrica found Black Diamond glove, if anyone misses it write to ZS

No sun and no sunrise. This time the forecasters weren't wrong. But warmer than last Sunday. At top 5 degrees with light wind. A bit below summit quite icy despite high temps.
