From Kam. sedlo, part of the path is pure ice (traverse over scree), elsewhere snow windblown from very soft to firm. High slip risk. Though little snow, snow cover not fully stable in places. Best to bypass soft windblown parts as much as possible. Upper half of the path quite steep, snow holds well.

Yesterday's ascent via Bosova grapa, Kaplan 1943m to Brana 2253m. Poor snow conditions (little snow, windblown and dry snow) also strong wind gusts. Very demanding descent to Kamniško sedlo.

Well, Brana has again justified its fame of "death mountain" in winter conditions. Apparently due to that north slope it's 2nd or 3rd by number of victims in Slovenian mountains.
@anouk1: Also from me congrats for the trip. Just learn to use prepositions s and z correctly (text under one photo), since we're Slovenians right?

Yesterday with my wife on the way to Rinka waterfall we heard this mountaineer's slip. Praise to the rescuers who reacted so quickly.

I didn't hear anything, we were still quite far from the gully, helicopter came within 1.30 hours... then we were at Mali Rinki.

Today on Brana via Kam. saddle, ascent conditions super, snow on scree already very little, but path still quite snowy, so with buddy across scree bit lower than path - along snow cover edge to NW ridge, from there path to top fairly easy (meaning as demanding as this path to top - still need to grab rock). Shame weather worsens again - another week good weather, no snow left...

I'm curious about the path, is Prevč snowy, dangerous, or already dry, then onwards from Brana over Kotliče to Tursko goro if anyone knows? conditions?

Redbul, check my pics under title Rinke ten days ago. Conditions haven't changed much since then. But for your mentioned tour, ice axe and crampons are still MANDATORY for a while, especially around Kotliči.

Yes, it was so primordially beautiful that it seemed sinful to break the spider web too. I rather took the bypass through flowering dwarf pines... And sprinkled with "golden dust" after.
