Hi, how much walking from Konc via Turska to Brana?
I see on h.net description 5:30, but lower says path extended by 1h 45, don't know if already included.

In theory, it extends by 45 minutes (not 1h45) and is not yet included.
In practice everyone drives up the officially closed road to the lower cable car station.

My goal today was Brana, but on the north side there's quite a bit of frozen snow and without crampons and ice axe it wouldn't go, so I stayed on KS and enjoyed the warm sun and didn't complain at all!

Especially you need an ice axe,, without crampons it already goes,, until today,, from tomorrow onwards I think not anymore,, end of summer conditions for this year,, last weekend.

Over Macesnovec to Brana
Wondering if anyone knows this path. One of the hikers told me about it and I'm interested in a more precise description. Thanks in advance for all answers.

This variant will be long, Macesnovec ridge first brings you to Sukalnik under Planjava.

Are there still many snow patches from Kamniško sedlo to Brana? Maybe I'll go to the saddle tomorrow, and I'm wondering how it is further, if anyone knows. Best regards.

Yesterday early in the morning on the summit (already up at 7:00). GPS starting point IMO is wrong. Or maybe I missed something. Started where there is one cargo cableway.... duh...  
Road completely dry to hut at K. saddle. From hut up snowfield at Melisce, which can be bypassed. Higher in "climbing part" still some snow. Here you need to climb a bit in a few spots but without major difficulties. Winter gear IMO no point carrying. From summit could see how north-east sides of other peaks around are still quite snowy. Also for Planjava south side ice axe needed due to two steeper snowfields.

Yesterday on Brana and Turska gora. The last snowfield below Brana summit can be nicely bypassed a bit lower, there's also a cone, and you reach a few meters lower on the roof of Brana, where the path comes. Anyway, warning to those planning to continue from Brana to Turska gora, because on the way to the screes there's another larger and steep snowfield, needing at least an ice axe. Otherwise nice tour and suitable weather.

no, Kotliči are ok. As I wrote, still on the slope of Brana, before the screes there's a gully nicely filled and steep, worth all attention

advice....if I get it right the snowfield below Brana summit can be bypassed or not...difficulty...Probably easiest with ice axe (crampons probably, at least big ones not needed at these temps)...Is this the only snowfield or more in the gulliesthanks

Just back from Brana. From the saddle on the path still ca. 30 meters in length of softened snow to cross, otherwise nice footprints, no panic. Can also bypass on scree a bit lower. Otherwise no snow, below summit already nicely off the path, path ok.
