But yesterday with Kacotu I was rolling my eyes all the time. Sometimes he's better, but often he's just pitiful. Janša is more consistent, dr.k injects him better while writing.
In general, Slovenian politicians speak worse than farmers here in my area. Left and right and center and curly. Either they stutter, or they can't say one understandable sentence or both.

Vansims, don't forget it's May, despite the bad weather. An example that worries me to some extent is Chile. There they carried out the vaccination program quite well, the best in South America. But infections are still rising nicely. Because they have late autumn now. Some of you are really funny. Not long ago you said the reason for the high number of infections is insufficient vaccination, although all risk groups were practically fully vaccinated. Now the reason for the low number of infections is vaccination. Maybe the vaccination of those 2000 graduates had an effect?

CHILE: per capita about half our infections, vaccinated three times more than us. This really isn't a favorable ratio, if we linearly interpolate, question if it's possible. The curve is now slightly declining, perhaps the vaccination effect is slowly showing.
On the other hand, the climate there is quite harsh, from mountain to subpolar in the south, only a thin coastal strip enjoys mild Atlantic climate. They are considered some South American Switzerland (meaning Polish, Hungarian standard) but they are still Latin America and question how they follow measures, hygiene etc.

Since Sinovac is made by the classical method (inactivated SARS-CoV-2 virus) and long-term effects of new methods are not yet known, I was thinking whether to get vaccinated with this vaccine when it comes. Well, thanks a lot. I'd get a vacation ticket and beer in the pub after the tour but I still expect at least some protection. Well, there is some, say the probability of a coin toss or betting on color at roulette. Since we're not in a casino after all, we'll have to wait for NovaVac, which is also based on the classical method.
I hope EMA, which has now started the approval process for Sinovac, knows about this case.

I apologize, but it's still useful information regarding Sinovac. Its own company director claimed it was 80-90% reliable, now Brazilians (say independent source) claim otherwise.

@VanSims, effectiveness of Chinese vaccines is obviously at Astra level. There they initially talked about 68%, but with new strains it's lower. Which is of course completely logical, the virus is constantly "evolving" and looking for ways to bypass "locked doors".
Here new vaccines (mRNA) have big advantage over "classical" ones. They provide better immunity, can have broader effect (against more strains) and the technological adaptation process to new strains is simpler and thus faster.
The only problem is, we don't know long-term effects well. There shouldn't be any...but...until time actually passes, we can't know. And people are such that we don't like to put something into ourselves that might harm us. Much easier something we definitely know harms (tobacco, excessive alcohol, heavily processed industrial food,...)
