Hi, maybe someone knows if the road to Bistriška planina is even drivable at this time of year or what condition it's in?

On the circular path from Brezje to Dobrča and descent via Lešanska and Bistriška planina the sun accompanied me, only at the top I wasn't there at the right moment since there were no views. Peaks were mostly in clouds. Otherwise enjoyment of the winter fairy tale.

Interested in current snow conditions on Dobrča. Given that snow line now starts around 1500m in many places I'm in a dilemma regarding use of mini crampons nasmeh

Today I did a loop on Dobrča, up the ridge to the Dobrča hut, there I fueled up a bit with pancakes velik nasmeh

then on to the Dobrča summit, from there must-do to Šentanski vrh where there are stunning views, down via Lešanska and Bistriška planina to the starting point. It came to over 12km. The trail itself without special features, only from Dobrča to Šentanski vrh there's still some snow, which poses no problem. @sandra, you won't believe it, I only looked at pics again, but today it was the opposite velik nasmeh

Here we go right to the viewpoint, just a few steps aside.

in the box at Dobrča... how much the first one got if so much was left for us...)))

Start at 7am green, to the hut it gradually whitened, to ca 5cm "powder sugar", in shelter of slopes and forest... from hut on, saddle and towards Dobrča summit and to Šentanski vrh 15cm fresh and strong "bora"... in short enjoyment velik nasmeh

Today our 4th goal of the naTriglav.si program was Dobrča (along the ridge). The hike was beautiful, with great company and nice weather (especially in the morning).
Trail good, without special features and well marked. From the summit some went to Šentanski vrh, then to the hut for excellent struklji nasmeh

On the way to the hut we met PD Tržič members additionally marking trails, as on Sat 18.5.2019 at Dobrča Hut the opening event of #gremovhribe 2019 season.
During the event at Dobrča Hut there will be good food and even better company, many social prize games and kids' workshops. Mountain rescuers will teach you how to act if you find yourself in the clutches of misfortune in the mountains, so all are invited nasmeh

What's the condition of the road to the Hibje starting point, compared to the road to Bistriška planina?

The gravel road to the Hibje starting point is in pretty good condition.
To the hut via the marked trail, which is normally passable and well marked; descent by road.
Then our five-year-old sweetly fell asleep nasmeh

during the drive to Pokljuka.

Dobrča was an excellent choice today at 35 degrees. We eased the route by driving to Bistriška planina, pleasant ascent to Poldetova klopca. Then through the forest directly to the Dobrča summit. The path smelled of cyclamens. Summit great views to Bohinj mountains, Triglav, Škofja Loka hills, Stara vrh, Mladi vrh, Koprivnik, Blegoš. It would be a shame to miss Šentanski vrh, where we have Stol, Begunjščica, Košuta, the entire Košuta ridge, Stegovnik and of course Kočna, Storžič, Kriška gora with Tolsti vrh right at hand. We skipped the Dobrča hut today, but it was my first time at Lešanska planina, excellent coffee. Then descent to Bistriška planina, where we treated ourselves to sour milk, buckwheat kasha with cracklings and also shepherd's dish masovnek..., the girls praised it. It was pleasant rambling through the forest and pastures.

After many years yesterday again on this hill. While doing errands in Tržič (fair) I treated myself to the classic approach from Brezje, and I somewhat misjudged the time, as I remembered it as a short tour, but it has nearly 1000m elevation gain. Many visitors on the summit, even more at the hut. Continuous thunder from the Pokljuka direction soon chased me down. Just before the main summit there must have been a really bad storm years ago, as now only roots are sticking out of the ground. The logbox is lonely. Cyclists here are obviously (not yet) being chased away; when they make the new torrent bed it will be too late. jezen

Today in very varied weather from Brezje, along the edge to Dobrča, then also to the Hut on Dobrča.
Given the amount of recent rain, I expected the path to be worse, but it was good, nicely marked so it's easy to follow even in fog. At the viewpoint on Vaško the sun greeted me nasmeh

, then some fog on the way to the summit, on the summit a few cm of snow and also some blue sky, which quickly turned into thick fog, so after a short stop I went to the Hut on Dobrča, which opens on Thursdays from 1 pm.
On descent had to be careful, because the expected path is very soggy, otherwise nice tour and path without features. The whole path took me 2 hours and 50 min.
