TODAY 11.11.07 I continued from Dovška Baba to Hruški vrh, descended to Rožca and further to Klek, Jeklovo sedlo, to Koča na Golici. There was some soft snow on the summits, but it was nice to walk. Weather nice, slightly windy. Very nice tour.

Today Peter, Janez and I went to Dovška Baba. We left the car quite low due to the icy road. We continued on the road, from the saddle onwards through the forest to the Dovška Rožca pasture. All the way to the top of Dovška Baba there is a track, crampons weren't needed today as the sun shone strongly, just a light breeze. Views were fantastic. LP Andrej

Yesterday 19.2.2008 we went to Dovška Baba.
We left the car quite low as the road was icy in the morning, then we went, crampons not needed as when the sun shone, it softened.
On the path mostly continuous snow except lower down on the road need to take off skis and walk a few meters on foot.
Recommend setting off early.
View and weather were excellent.

Today 15.11. conditions on Baba were excellent. From hut to summit 10-15 cm snow-trodden. Recommend these days. Matej

You can get everywhere if there's a will, just a question of how far. Given lots of new snow and few hikers on it, you might sink in. Hard track probably not yet, but rotate at the front and walking will be easier.

Yesterday on Dovška Baba weather nice, good track from Dovje well trodden doesn't sink in, for skiers and sledders return right to the lower parking at the power plant.

"lying on baba, looking through the hole into the ass" quote Jože Čop. And it's so true... Today attacked Baba, conditions unique, sunshine aplenty. Descent also went like a hot knife! Quite decent tour given avalanche conditions still III degree. Careful though.
