What are the conditions on the Suhadolnik-Grintovec path.. Still any snow, danger of falling rocks? Is the path over Mlinarsko sedlo much more demanding? I have about 60 tours behind me, not very demanding, perhaps the hardest Krofička over Zadnji travnik, Storžič over Žrelo, Mrzla gora from Matkov kot,..

On Tuesday I did the tour from Suhadolnik over Taško to Cojsova koča and further to Grintovec. The path is excellently maintained, renovated. Over Taško there are some pegs, a few meters of cables and "wooden steps", but nothing frightening. No snow on the path. Nor did I feel danger of falling rocks. I returned to the junction for Taško on the same path, then turned to the old path, easier for descent. I don't know the path over Mlinarsko sedlo. Good luck!

Path over Mlinarsko sedlo significantly more demanding. If you've ''conquered'' the path to Mrzla gora then it'll be fine..

exactly as nejc said, yesterday I descended from grintovec towards mlinarsko. I think the path can be compared to kotliči, full of scree, some protections damaged by lightning but no big deal.
It'll go with lots of caution! good luck!

26.7.-today: Suhadolnik-Cojzova koča (old path) took me, as an average mountaineer, 2h10, all excellently marked, one small snow patch left - just a sample, no panic ... they had some race from Kamniška direction - tons of folks at the hut, ... to Grintovec also super, but a "cap" had already formed on the summit, a bit foggy - not too much since I'm home writing this

Probably that was the "Grintovec run" much written about at the hut by Kamniška bistrica source.
Today climbed Grintovec from "V koncu", conditions super (sunny, not too hot, almost windless), people plenty but not overcrowded.. took 2h25, nice result for me, agree with official time, path steep, better to take it slowly.

In K.Bistrica pick up random hiker with extensive plan for Grintavec summits today/tomorrow. Drive to Koncu together, park there. Continue to hut in dark, at 6.50 already coffee. Then part way together, Igor to Kočna, I to Grintovec, summit just after 9am. Rest as previous described, add that jota on return at hut really hits well on my hungry stomach, since long time since night snack at work. Best

Yesterday my colleague and I went to Grintovec from Češka koča via Mlinarsko sedlo. The path is almost all dry and well trodden. There's still a bit of snow under the entry to the wall but it doesn't pose major problems. My colleague lost a light blue helmet a bit before the top of Mlinarsko sedlo and if someone finds it by chance please tell him on tel: 031 455 976

On Saturday morning at 2.30 I went to Grintovec by car to the freight cable car then on foot, at Kokrško sedlo at 5.15 short break then slowly on to the top, nice views in morning dawn at the top at 7.10. Rest and breakfast from backpack on top alone for a while soon a woman with dog from Stahovce comes who took my picture I have old camera so can't show you pics but they are nice. Back down same path met lots of hikers who asked if from top already. Early hour golden hour they used to say and it's true at car at 10.30. Nice regards to all mountain goers.

Yeah slobs are in the mountains too. Seen bathers in the spring of Kamniška Bistrica. Looks like no water at home.

If you see someone, just warn them because nature isn't just for us but for others too and it's a shame to see such stuff up there. If you have space in backpack then take it down to the valley. I do that lots, the one I see I'd rather shake out of their pants....

Well, Robin, you got proof, but if you think that slob was me, you're dead wrong. When I was on Grintovec, there was nothing but two bags of sand with "LEAVE THE SAND" written on them and next to the bags a dirty yellow towel, dunno whose. My motto for mountains is: what I carry up I carry down too, be it plastic bottle or alu foil from sandwich.
