That's not a marked path, but unmarked almost "private" nasmeh

What shape the markers are is decided by the one who traced the path. What if he doesn't want crowds rushing on that path chasing wildlife and destroying plants?
Anyway, I respect any of his decisions. Even though I'm not far from Mozirske planine (3-4h walk) and have been many times nearby, it never occurred to me to search for Janez's paths on Javorca nasmeh

In Tirške peči no one has ever been chased away by the owner - always welcome. I just wanted to say that if someone already has the right to mark a path, it's only the maintainers. Which in this case they weren't.

@Neža: Golte are really wonderful, even more beautiful than photos can show.
@Jelica: I think these aren't decayed forests, just no logging there so far because timber hauling was very difficult. Now some new tracks have been made and the situation is changing. What's lying on the ground isn't bad for the forest itself, just the look isn't the nicest. Golte is a landscape park and thus under protection regime, which complicates interventions.
@Drago, Adolf, Jany: This week the weather is perfect for it and we can go enjoy up there together. Just don't forget to bring swimsuits. velik nasmeh

It happened on Friday, but due to a busy weekend there was no time to write. Last late autumn health messed me up and so this year Tirske peči are my recovery. Hope at least somewhat successful. So four of us set off via Tirske to Javorca. In the morning chill we nicely walked to the NOB monument and then explored the lower part of Tirske, where there's much interesting to see. Followed the obligatory stop in the Erotic forest with some jokes about it. nasmeh

Then helmets on heads, except those with built-in ones, and up the gully to Lopna peč. Followed stops at scenic platforms, each more beautiful than the last. We even managed to blow the shell from Zanzibar that Andrej hid in his backpack. velik nasmeh

Above the third ledge just below Konjski vrh, we admired a herd of at least ten chamois. Of course couldn't skip a stop at Žlajfer. Water warmed to 20°C since last time and was really pleasant for swimming. We also fished, but only caught one trout, which Andrej's grandma was very happy about. Picnic stayed at strudel and beer. mežikanje

Followed a hop to Javorca with obligatory barrel tasting. nasmeh

We left more in it than drank. For finale we tested climbing skills on Okna ridges and did well. Protections on the route all ok. We finished the tour with a stop at Ivica in Šmihel and were rewarded with admiring riders. Great tour, great company, great weather,..., thanks for the company.

During holidays at Golte my wife and I walked across Golte twice. The path over the pastures is beautiful and easy. From Medvedjak to Stari stanovi nice view towards Ojstrica, Raduha, Smrekovec, Peč and Uršlja gora. On the return from Boskovec there's wonderful view from Javorca to Savinja valley. On the way I met a forum acquaintance - Janez from under Golte, and from Javorca I made a few steps to the bivouac in Tirske peči. There's really such a corner that one stops and looks, looks.

25.8.2017: Again a lot happened on the way to Javorca. Primorka brought a Kranjec along and we were a nice bunch. We went via Tirske peči over Zgornja lopa, past the lake and Stari stanovi to Isteje, from there to Boskovec and then past my bivouac under Javorca descended through Okence and via ferrata to the exit under Bela peč. All protections ok. Since both were first time on this path and on Golte at all, it was even more exciting for them. We climbed every pinnacle, peeked into every hole, enjoyed the platforms, saw a chamois, munched sweet raspberries, climbed, admired horses, swam, fished, refreshed at Žlajfer, managed short ferrata, enjoyed views, met new faces and more. Golte always surprise again with beauties.

Whenever we visit the Savinja Valley, it's hard for me to skip visiting Golte, which have really grown close to my heart.
From Žekovec to Mozirska koča was just right for the time I had available. But a trip to Golte isn't complete without greeting my friend Janez, and so it was yesterday too. nasmeh

I think winter was last so early generous with so much snow seven years ago. Of course it had to be exploited best possible. So in past days I was 4 times to Javorca, each time different path. Most beautiful and varied was via Tirške peči, since gully to Lopna peč was snowed in and protections frozen in ice. Other variants weren't easier due to thick snow blanket either. On all I enjoyed trailbreaking the innocent snow blanket like fly on shit. I got to observe chamois, wallcreeper, birds at feeders, ravens in sky, capercaillie hen,... Today new snow shipment awaits us and we can enjoy winter further.
