We also visited Jerebica with the family at the beginning of August, namely from Belih vod, and I can report that the path from the Italian side is very nicely marked. You need to watch the starting point; now there is new asphalt and immediately after the end, before the bridge, there is a sign on the left. Then just follow mark 653 and the path nicely leads to the common point, Jezersko sedlo. Mountain with mighty views, highly recommend

This topic has been lonely for quite a while Yesterday evening I learned that the working Saturday had turned into a free day (or moved to a working Sunday), so I quickly decided to go on a not too long tour... so that I would be back by lunch (yeah... a bit optimistic). Therefore (well, mainly because of the late hour) I didn't call those with whom I've been arranging hikes for a while and went alone. I noticed comments or the description that it is poorly marked. Maybe they fixed something new, but the marks are quite easy to follow. There is also a small snow patch in between where care is needed, otherwise no special features on the path. At the summit there is no logbook, so entries are on various papers, even tissues. For today, the summit is not so deserted. I met 7 more women hikers and men hikers. During the descent it started to cloud over, even a few very light drops. I hope the weather didn't cause any inconveniences to those who went up after me. p.s. in the end I was a bit late for the later lunch, but it was still warm

Today on Jerebica. Except for quite high grasses on the lower part, the path is without special features, marks are OK, and on the top there is also a new logbook.

I can't believe they provided a new logbook...(last year 3x on Jerebica and it still wasn't replaced)

To sum up yesterday's impressions from the path to this mountain, I can say that I enjoyed the hike. Although the first part of the path from Možnica, when the forest ends, is steep. Further from the junction it's nicely panoramic. Now days are shorter and night catches you earlier. But I saw a sign at the junction that there's a bivouac on the Italian side.

@darinka4 Bivio does NOT mean bivouac, but junction, intersection of several paths. When many years ago I started visiting Karnian peaks more often I was surprised, because from descriptions it seemed every path has several bivouacs. Then I looked in the dictionary and soon it was clear that these are intersections where marked paths cross https://translate.google.si/?hl=sl#auto/sl/bivio

Oh, thanks. I'm really glad if someone corrects me, so I don't spread nonsense. And so I don't mislead anyone. I really didn't know.

Incrocio = junction; bivio is a fork . Bi comes from two; from there the Italian joke: what do two cows (vacca) do in a tent (bi-vacano)

Autumn holidays are the best time to visit peaks in Posočje. So on 30.10. we also visited Jerebica. We chose the path from Možnica and enjoyed pleasant sunshine all day. The path is newly marked. Snow was only a few patches on the northern, Italian side. Views were fantastic, into the distance to Veliki Klek and also into the depths to Log and Rabeljsko Lake. On the return we visited Gorenji Krivi rob and thus conquered another two-thousander.

I went today from the Italian side via path 653. The path is OK, markings are well visible, in the lower part you need to watch out as there are lots of leaves on the path. Views were like previous days excellent, especially from the summit, which is very panoramic. The rocky step really is no big deal.

I'm interested in which path is less demanding regarding exposure, from Možnica or Beli Vodi, or how exposed the common section from Jezersko sedlo to the summit actually is? thanks

Hello, overall it's less demanding from the Rabelj side, on the common part there's just one short spot, which is more of a diversion than a difficulty. In short, nothing special, also for less experienced hikers.

From Možnica, if you go, you walk two hours through the forest. Nothing special. Then there's one part a bit exposed. There are cables there.
