Jerebica today 26.7. It was a backup plan. At the last moment. But it turned out really nice. We went from Možnica. It was known there would be some raindrops. Morning still nice. Later clouds started piling up. It also thundered. On the top some rain. Not too much. On descent it cleared up again. And became almost too hot. About seven hikers on the path. They had all descended already. We three were the last. There are still plenty of roses and tall grasses.

From Možnica to the top and back.
Path nicely marked, in the forest there's a lot of green leaves on the ground, as if autumn had already come and you need to be more careful on descent. On the top we two enjoyed the sun alone, on descent we met quite a lot of people. Descent to the forest was already quite hotjezik.

On the map I see that there should be Planja (1,695 m) below Jerebica and it's also mentioned casually a few times on this forum. But when I stood on Nemške glave a while ago looking towards Jerebica it wasn't quite clear to me - where is that peak?

Is that meant some rocky spire in the wall or maybe just the grassy patch below the wall (not really a "peak"...). Or did I simply mix something up?

I think that's the top of the grassy patch below the wall.

Here is a description of the access to Planja. See: "New description of access from the valley (1.8.2018)".

Thanks everyone for the answers. Ločanka, nice photo! And like this across the finger it looks right, so bottom left Rabeljsko jezero and I assume in the middle Nemške glave, you're obviously a bit higher, but not on Jerebica, right?

Are you actually on the edge of the grassy patch, as bbugari1 assessed (in the middle, slightly left on my photo, because that's roughly the border) or somewhere else? And access there is along some normal path, as indicated in the link that turbo kindly posted? I'm asking because I didn't notice it there, though I didn't look for it specifically, it looks pretty steep and difficult to access in the last 100 meters before the wall.

When I first climbed Jerebica from Možnica in terrible heat and with far too little liquid with me, several years have passed. That terrible thirst imprinted itself in my memory, as did the luxurious views from the top, which offers plenty of space for sitting and admiring. Best to just take off your shoes and enjoy.

Well, this time to Jerebica from Bele Vode, where a large part of the path allows you to look back at the backdrop of beautiful mountains above the Valley of Beli Potok, and also other giants of the Western Julijci, which with every step offer more of their true appearance.

At the saddle you step into another world, as you see Rombon in front of you, above you rise the rocks of Snežni vrh, which hints at its scree surface.
With further walking, the picturesque ledges at the foot of Gorenji Vogl attract attention, then the further crossing of Gorenji Krivi rob, which you have to leave with a rather steep descent to approach Jerebica from its least resistant side.

Towards the top, increasingly wider views open towards the Kanin mountains, just below it through a narrow notch Mangart and Jalovec also appear, in the next moment deep in the valley you see the blue of Rabeljsko jezero, at this time with a distinct white rim. You are truly uplifted, as you realize the beauty of that moment, and also that you stepped on the right mountain that day.

On the descent, different views open up again, the mountains are in different colors, in different shadows.
No swimming in Rabeljsko jezero this time, moreover, no one was visible anywhere near it.

What he wrote; the Passo dei scalini saddle is completely at the bottom left in the ridge descending from Monte Cregnedul. But on the picture it's the view across Škrbina prednje špranje.

As for pic.12, I was thinking more about the direction of view; about the notch that's visible, I didn't even think about it. Well, now I know which one it isnasmehnasmeh

Today to Jerebica. We postponed the tour to Sunday. There was really no rain, but no views either. The path was extremely slippery, muddy all the way. Especially on the descent great caution was needed.
Start of our small group at produ Belih vod.1
Our path is 653.2
Unfortunately we headed into the fog.3
Towards Jerebica-Cima del Lago.4
Crossroads - the path to Jerebica comes from Slovenia from Možnica.5

On the way back we meet a huge group of hikers.12
A bit steep descent.13

The view is revealing itself.15
Unfortunately there were no real views.16
But below it was much nicer.17

velkavrh & LG: I met you too, some at the top and others on the way.
Obviously Jerebica has become very popular due to the nice views (which weren't there yesterday), so there wouldn't be anything wrong with equipping the trail with some pegs or wire ropes at a few exposed spots.
