Thanks for the lesson... yeah... one learns all one's life. Gotta start making a herbarium . Nice tour you're planning... hope it succeeds well. LP

Yeah, pity the rain is messing us up so much. It's needed, but can't do any afternoon tours because of it. Quite a few variants around Jezersko, and elsewhere. Unfortunately next week. Haven't met a globeflower this year yet! L.P.

After morning work I drive to Roblek above Kokra. Unfortunately time breathing down my neck, but whatever - in such great weather ... Over Lojtra to grassy plateaus where soul joyfully dances. Above hunting hut on trail thru scrub, scents, views, head spins, happiness overflows! At top reliving memories. Countless hiked paths, hunting trails, off-trail - all lies in the palm of my hand. With full bag of new wishes hurry to valley. Darkness pities me. Ridge, big thanks.

Rerze, this tour is really cool if you finish it with descent via Krvavec. Unfortunately you need 2 cars then. But it's long as a hundred mothers (if you have to walk to the lower parking too, cuz the cablecars aren't running now)

Thanks... it's true, pictures say more than 1000 words. Sunny weekend ahead, so worth using it for mountain visits too... Good luck and safe steps

Today we took advantage of perhaps the last day for high mountain visit in summer conditions. Start at Krvavec from where we continued via Zvoh to Vrh Korena and then to Kompotele, where we took some nice photos of Kamnik Alps. Weather cloudless. Then headed to our main goal, Kal Ridge. All the time relatively strong wind blowing, after 12 started bringing scattered clouds enveloping peaks. Upon reaching Kal Ridge summit fog soon descended on it too, with strong wind. In such conditions walked almost whole return via Planina Dolga Njiva, turning left to Krvavec - start.

Hi. Tomorrow I'm going to Kal Ridge, specifically from Kokra-Podlebelca. Wondering if anyone has walked it in these conditions already, can someone tell me if maybe there's some ice somewhere or at least some snow?? It seems some parts are quite shady, so the sun doesn't see it who knows how often. Thanks and good luck.

The path is bare and dry

Which way did you go? Northern? From KOnca up? Maybe we'll return towards Cojzovi and Suhadolniku dol. Is it fully bare?

Katty, I went up from home in Kam. Bistrica, through kovačnica, up Jarmenca gully, crossed Kal Ridge and back via Kalce past Prežagana peč to the start. Didn't step in snow once, only slope of Kalška gora above Cojzova don't know as it was hidden, rest bare.

Are there larches on the path to Kal Ridge too? Up top I know there is only dwarf pine.

They can be found lower, but they are not the color you'd want.
