Full recognition to both. Even older "hikers" overlook many things along the path, because we have our head farther from the feet. You two closer to the feet and see everything. (we met in winter on Bašel Peak)

Nice path, until the summit starts dragging and there's no end whoever hikes these days should start hiking no later than 6am, because later on the scree to the top it gets stuffy, hot,..

@ursa.k, you probably haven't been hiking long yet, because the choice itself wasn't great given the sun heat, maybe also the trip start time and resulting tired body, hiking becomes a burden and the path drags like chicken intestines. Always good to choose shadier approach to the mountain we're going to, these days when it's too hot everywhere.

To Kokra Saddle from Kamniška Bistrica drags to death in any weather. If heading up there, always, but really always from Suhadolnik. Mooooooo much nicer.

From Suhadolnik you have two paths, so you can do partial loop, @jax why write it ˝drags to death˝, charm in mountains, on paths is just enjoying, slowly, persistently it is.

Yesterday very nice morning at kokrsko saddle, no issues to summit, just good 20 mins below top path under good 30 cm snow. Hut not open yet, winter room available. Winter gear not needed, but sure is sure.

I have a logistical question: I know there's a traffic ban from Kamniška Bistrica to the cable car in Konec, but what's the road like - if it's ok I'd risk the fine. Going to Grintovec via Streha - think no ice axe needed or do I?

About this road and removed sign sparrows on the roof are chirping already. This year been 7 times there, no issues. Road nice for forest road. Drive as far as possible. Snow-wise path to saddle is dry. (was yesterday on Kalška gora.)
