From the car to Kredarica I hiked five and a half hours. First time using snowshoes.

Yesterday I was at Kredarica, no living soul anywhere except a couple of Czechs camping at the turning place at the end of the road. Smuka is still super, you ski to the car, forgetting about cca 300 m walk on the road through the forest. Forum photos are so good I don't dare post mine. Is it something to do with the camera ?

You need to set out on the path early in the morning when the snow is still frozen, of course if the night was cold enough. If you can't go further, you can always go back. Otherwise, those up there now would know more about visits to Kredarica; that's the meteorologists.

With snowshoes you can get there. But tomorrow has a slightly worse forecast. Maybe Sunday better.

Let me correct for those who will still ski down from Kredarica, Kot is the best choice, and Krma is still good for about ten days.

Does anyone know if members of Croatian mountaineering clubs have discounts for staying in Slovenian mountain huts? Thanks in advance for the reply.

Yes, they have a discount just like Slovenian PD members have in Croatia.

Today went from Krma to Kredarica. Road to parking lot Radovna-Krma ok. Had luck because yesterday a group already trampled all the way to Kredarica, but it was still strenuous despite that... so congratulations! Weather was sunny, warm (at Kredarica at 1pm +2°C), no cloud, excellent visibility... day like in a fairy tale... .

Congratulations to both, it was worth the effort, right? Greetings from the morning cornice seekers.

Hey hojla... the day was really fairy-tale and for a change we enjoyed peace, which is rare at Kredarica... good luck!

Ana, one photo for you who "trampled" to Kredarica one day earlier, so both of us had an easier path. LP

Like that, many thanks, also because of such kind-hearted people it's worth going to the mountains. Good luck!

As I am informed, the first one who pulled the track was my friend from PT association, this year most often at the lookout.

I am just one of the hikers who arrived at Kredarica that day, without predecessors, I surely wouldn't have made it to the top. My intention was to write how beautiful and wonderful day I spent, unforgettable. I didn't know that one has to write who was first, second, third...
