It was nice too.. perfect day bathed in sun. We hikers had a bit harder work than skiers and the rest on the terrace was welcome nasmeh

A bit longer route to Kredarica. In the last ten days I spent twice four days on this our longest ski touring traverse. Both times I guided a couple of foreigners who wanted skiing in Slovenia.

Both times the forecast was similar, first day worse, then each day nicer. First day was really worse both times, during the first crossing unfortunately all days stayed like that. More with pics at: http://www.triglavguides.com/SL/triglav-ski-touring-traverse/

Almost three months since last visit, so I decided to check current conditions a bit. That plowing into Krma this way is really pointless is confirmed by drivers' annoyance, as some had to reverse more than a km on narrow track to find parking.
I park in Kurji vasi and march on foot exactly on time to the barrier. Further snow suitable, track well trodden (overtook over 40 people on ascent, mostly skis and boards, quite some foreigners) and in fierce heat and no wind reach the hut, quite lively inside, many hikers basking with mulled wine in sun in front. From winter gear only used gaiters on descent to Prgarca. Lower luckily not sinking too much, so skiers not much advantage. Return at Dana in Dovje as usual...

Everyone only to the hut, few to the summit (Kredarica).

The biggest church holiday, chapel entrance concreted!!

Road to Kovinarska is now without ice and ruts, but with countless potholes. Parking spots are more each day, as everyone manages somehow with a shovel.
Ski track is for now separate from hikers' path, who sink deeply occasionally, especially on descent.
Skiing suitable for the time and temperatures. velik nasmeh

Quick Sunday walk from Radovna to Kredarica. Conditions for walking/running good, no excessive thaw.

One shouldn't take actions of mountain area visitors to heart, especially now when the route to Kredarica is so crowded you can choose tracks for skiers, hikers and even four-legged ones. Sometimes caution not to step on or ski-smear any of numerous dog poops adorning white snow...

Road normally drivable to Kovinarska, ruts to end of pasture, most persistent to trough.
Hikers now not sinking deep, ski track not yet potholed.

Conditions suitable for time and temperatures. nasmeh

Here I shoveled the entrance to the chapel.

The road is plowed to the last parking lot. There's still quite some ice left on the road in places.

Snow is already decreasing in the forest, higher up there will be enough for a while longer.

With some cheating (through the forest) you can ski to the plowed parking. Further to Korito and Kovinarska the road is already quite bare (some ice still around), through the forest along the road to Korito no continuous snow anymore. Along the road from Korito to Kovinarska probably still doable.

Die-hards will have to carry further anyway. I've probably finished skiing for this season.

Road is drivable to the end. From the parking lot on the flat there is still snow, which runs out in the forest, above the tree line the base is continuous. Yesterday pedestrians didn't sink in excessively, worse on the descent, especially higher up where there is some new snow.
In the valley snow has been replaced by flowers. velik nasmeh

This time three days at Kredarica.
Helped with mounting the propeller for the wind generator.
Got quite a few snapshots - daytime and nighttime.

Otherwise conditions for hiking excellent, snow hard in the morning, afternoon doesn't sink too much. Also ideal for Triglav ascent and many hikers took advantage.

Skiing ends at the start of scrub below Pleša.
