Snow has melted, road repaired, weather settled, toll still free for a few more days until eight, and with Darko we quickly arrange a visit to Krofička. Three years ago chased by a storm, this time nice to the summit.
In valley still pleasantly cool , higher pleasantly warm. Some mud didn't bother us, at good tea in hut at Klemenča jama we meet the new caretaker. For most hikers end here, maybe extend to larch, towards summit on path no more crowds. Enjoy super views, but no more that blueness as on previous tours, since summer is here.
Since this is the 'conditions' forum, mention that undergrowth is ready for trimming, wooden steps for repair before someone breaks a leg on them.
As always, some pics today too.

Yesterday from Planinski dom to Klemenča jama and further to Krofička. Path nicely marked and newly secured. Praise to PD Solčava. Path quite steep. Problem were wet rocks. Must praise the female and male caretakers in the hut at Klemenča jama. Very friendly. On path met only five (5) hikers. Very nice. Will return. LP

Hi,
last year the chains were still always in a mess, if it happened recently - commendable.
As for the hut at Klemenča jama, I put everything under question and do not comment.
I was there some time ago. I just add this, let's go see huts and their condition across the borders. Then we'll find out how faaaaaar behind we are.

The fixed ropes were repaired by the SMDO technical team, which mostly consists of members of PD Grmada Celje.
PD Solčava has no registered path marker... unfortunately.

On the first August day I decided for the Krofička ridge.
Morning at 6am in Logarska +15C, quite lively. At Klemenča water drips into the trough (I have a feeling this has only been happening the last two years?). I don't stop, continue towards Škrbina. Young people catch up/overtake me. Some go climbing the Ojstrica wall (Sanje delfina VII/V), others rush to Kopinškovo. Under the SE ridge of Krofička I surprise a younger couple cooling in the shade under the wall. They are more surprised than me. They think no one wanders here.
A few words and I continue to the ridge. At the last three hanging pitons they catch up with me. When on the approach to Zadnji Travnik I start climbing left, they prefer to join me rather than to look for the Krofička summit alone. The ridge interests them more.
We find a passage through the scree and the rock begins. On the ridge a pleasant breeze cools us, pulling from the shady western wall. We climb the ridge with pleasure and use nice natural passages. At the Krofička summit quite a few visitors who used the morning freshness.
We continue past Travnik; when I find the exit/approach gully, we say goodbye. They to Ut and the bivouac below them, I along chamois paths back towards Klemenča cave.
On the marked path I meet visitors again who now, in considerable heat (noon), are climbing towards Strelovec/Krofička. We are all sweaty; only from them wafts the smell of Müller's sales products They are still completely fresh...
At Klemenča not even a drop of water??? I'm angry because I can't refresh myself with cold fresh water, not even drink a beer.  Should we attach or unclog the alkatenka; there's plenty of water! Maybe it's just an approach to sales marketing?
When after eight hours I return to the parking lot at the Alpine Hut, it's +30C. Logarska is fully parked, where you can barely leave the car.

That with the water at Klemenča last time wasn't understandable to me either. One day it flowed, the next not. On the question the hut keeper answered in the sense of your last assumption.

Zlatko, the water was there to cool beer in a crate in it. Not for drinking and washing.

Yesterday 22.8. to Krofička from Logarska dolina on marked path. It was wonderful, phenomenal views, hot weather, lots of people also beautiful girls . Regarding the path nothing to add, renovated cables in last part of path. Only at top annoying winged ants swarming a bit bothered.
