I'd forgotten how steep the marked path to Krofička is, so yesterday's afternoon really invigorated and refreshed me, physically and mentally.

I was already panting by Klemenča Cave and my muscles were burning. Midway I wondered if I really needed this. It was one of those Thursdays that break me on all sides. In the afternoon I hadn't gone to Krofička yet and the thought of the colored north path tempted me. From the cave on I breathed hard, recovered, spun movies in my head and drifted into timelessness. My left instep started hurting, I guess overdoing it again. Thoughts of death and imaginary mountain figures gave me strength. The last 100m killed me, don't know why I was rushing, maybe ego. We talk about ego, it's everywhere, even in these words. Reached the top at 5:50 pm, started at 3:40 pm. Satisfied and beat. Take a moment to catch breath. Devica Wall opposite lit my view. Wonderful. Peace and quiet, light wind, autumn coming. What am I doing here? No idea and yet I swallow mix of views and mixed emotions. Stop happy and transient. That's it. When legs breathed, stuff jelly candies in mouth, path under feet. Want to be at cave before dark, need to go home, up at five tomorrow.
Reach cave quick, just as Ojstrica and neighbors don evening cloak. Order dark beer and chat with keeper and gent planning overnight. Asked keeper about trough water half-joking if flowing. Said someone reported him to PZS for filling bottles from trough and selling them, outside trough no flow. velik nasmeh

What nonsense. Laughed at human imagination together. Asked so often he jokes now, dude! velik nasmeh

Part in good mood.

In dusk carefully descend to Razpotje into night covering day.

Krofička is mighty and demanding mountain not to underestimate. Upper part steep, scree-covered path dangerous. Careful in her world.

What are the conditions like to Krofička from Logarska dolina...?

Judging by experience, the snowfield right after the first pegs, where wooden steps and loosened cable are, is passable this time only with full winter gear. The end of the snowfield is far below...

Today ascent done to this nice peak. nasmeh

From Razpotje up marked path, descent via hunter's to Škrbina and circular back from there. As said above, snowfield under summit still persists. Maybe bypass it left on rocks, not quite easy. zavijanje z očmi

Especially in descent.
Hunter's is of course dry, but increasingly harder to follow. Probably also because I haven't been here for some time. nasmeh

Luckily all protections where needed are in good order. mežikanje

Nice. Glad someone else says a bit of truth about actual conditions.
Whether praise or negative. Most just overlook the negative ones.

Krofička - circular below Krofička ridge (except Ut)
In the morning we meet (Palček p.), pleasant fresh morning 9.5°C. Without a stop we hurry to Škrbina. When we climb out of the cable to Zadnji Travnik the sun fully lights us for the first time this morning. Common viper slips quickly under bigger stone from under my feet. We continue to Ut. Views of Križevnik and Robanov kot replaced by scenery of Okrešelj and other peaks - we move to the long side of the ridge. Again partly in shade. The view is truly fantastic. We turn back to Škrbina and when we spot marked path to Kopinškova below, we descend to it and back to Klemenča.
Trough dry again, water no flow (repeats last years). So no stop, descend to starting point. Refresh, change clothes in Logarski kot. There still fresh water available outside. So drink Konjičan here!

Bravo, great! For this loop you really need to know the area well and hike it beforehand. That's why they look strangely at home when you say - peak? Actually in eight hours I didn't conquer any nasmeh

That's only for us lovers of hidden paths.
Nice to have someone along who doesn't ask every now and then: will we exceed 2000m? Will we step on some peak? cool

The little paths are really beautiful, nature is taking them back again...

On such lonely paths, like forgotten by God, not only above Logarska dolina, I remember the words of Robanov Jož:

"You will see what others don't see. You will hear what others don't hear. You will feel what others don't feel.
You will seek what was never lost. You will chase what never escaped."

On Sunday 22.8.21 I headed to Krofička as every year at this time, original plan was to go via Kopinškova to Ojstrica since I haven't for a long time. Due to weather forecast cloudy during the day I decided for Krofička and it was a perfect day anyway.

I let the gentians caress me and the grasses embrace me. The rock cooled me and the steepness warmed me.

At Razpotje at 5.40, 4 degrees.
First over the notch to Krofička. Slowly over beautiful meadows to the summit. The ridge to Travnik didn't appeal, too much sun. I descended to the junction for Strelovec and walked in pleasant shade under Movnik to the shepherd's hut on Klemencih Planjave below Krofička. It's really fairy-tale here! Third time this year. Looking at the sheer wall of Ut I munched, sat a bit and enjoyed. From the hut I continued through the shepherd-hunter labyrinth above Plesnikova planina, real labyrinth! Paths left, right, up, down, junction after junction, real wilderness! I wanted to descend to Plesnikova planina like months ago when I succeeded first try, but today it wasn't so. Here you can really get lost quickly and it would be too beautiful not to get caught in the labyrinth loop! I missed the branch! I could have given up and bushwhacked to the forest road, or continued to Icmankova planina, but stubbornly persisted and after a good half hour climbing up and down in very steep and exposed world of Turni, finally caught the right path. Rock, sand, earth, grass and bushes took quite some strength, so I sat on the edge, drank juice, smiled and then through picturesque passages finally descended to Plesnikova planina. Crazy and tiring! There followed only my favorite marked walk via Kačjek to Klemenča jama for a beer. 14.40 at the car. Unforgettable!

Today visit to the beauty above Klemenča cave.
Up the marked path, descent along the ridge towards Travnik and then along the hunting trail to the path leading from Škarije.
Snow patch on the marked path we bypassed on the left side, if descending here you'd need crampons...essential.
Hunting trail below Krofička is quite hard to follow, it ends or starts high on the path to Škarije.
But it's interesting... nasmeh
