Snow patch at entry to secured part of path (few meters, soft snow) - doable without winter gear. Towards exit two smaller snow patches that can be bypassed.

Is the snow patch at entry to climbing section still problematic? What about other snow patches on path?

Yesterday passed by entry to Hanz. Snow patch at entry practically gone, wall from afar looked almost completely dry... Sorry no better pic. Regards

Yesterday to MM via Hanz. Snow at the start has only symbolic meaning, the whole path dry, protections in order. Quite cheerfully on the path!

Hi. I'm interested in how the descent path (over scree) is? Probably no snow anymore? And how is the road to Vršič, when is it closed? Regards.

Regarding alternating traffic guided by traffic lights, you can expect chaos on weekends. Only in Slovenia... you wait 5 minutes and more... 20+ cars pile up plus motorcycles... then hop green for half a minute... first three, four get green, the rest red. Deep bow to the experts from the road directorate and their subcontractors for such an arrangement. -experience from the past weekend. Good we haven't sent a man to the moon... surely would land on Pluto. ...one more... I understand it's a construction site... but such a "fucked" road through the construction site you have to search for with a lantern in broad daylight. ...once again, these are my observations from the past weekend.

If you drive from N. Gorica to Bovec, you have 7 traffic lights due to road works. In Ušnik village, one has been set up for a year already, still not finished. When there are more vehicles, probably have to wait for green.

Yesterday there were no issues or traffic jams on the road, but it is true that the road through the construction site is very bad - one needs to be careful and drive slowly. We hikers are used to such troubles too.

I have to correct Darinka; that traffic light in Ušnik has been shining for two years before they started work. That misery from the bridge they have been doing for almost a year now...

My boyfriend and I climbed Mojstrovka via Hanzova on Sunday. Excellently secured, it was a pleasure to climb  weather very favorable.. definitely gonna hit it again via Hanzova sometime then to Velika Mojstrovka less than 20 min away and descent via south side. On south side sheep triggered stones.. and not a small rock hit my ankle. Ended with a bruise, if I'd had low hiking shoes or sneakers.. definitely wouldn't have ended so well. Reminder to hikers heading up in Nike sneakers or even flip-flops.

Tomorrow, 11.10.2018 heading to Little Mojstrovka via Hanzova. What are conditions like or no snow/ice patches yet, I assume?
