Bruno, super good pics. Would like to ask what the conditions are from the lake to Zacchi hut, is there still lots of snow, wonder if possible by bike already.

Today on the holiday (sun-cold night) I head to Mangart. After the last tunnel I put on skis. Snow hard frozen-finally. Go SE under the hut, then up to the road again and under the wall under MRM. Without crampons it'd be tough, as it was concretely hard all the time. Leave skis under first cables of Italian path. Crampons, two axes, helmet, skis on backpack. At first cable still some snow, bit of ice, higher comfortably walk on "Mangart" steps, thanks, but not long, as I choose winter variant nicely snowed and central part hard frozen. Climb to top where east wind blows. Due to hardness below in "winter" decide to ski within Italian path, no snow everywhere so 3 times briefly remove skis. Snow just right all time. Ski to last tunnel entrance and bit further on road. Nice tour.
Dm72 asked about conditions to Zacchi hut, as far as saw road to hut clear, Klanška lakes invite to walk .

The road is obviously not passable yet, as snow is clearly visible along the road from the last tunnel onwards.

After a long time, sun again and some new snow on top. Otherwise, combination of Italian and winter route. Descent via Italian.

crampons weren't needed but ice axe is mandatory, snow was soft but in ferrata holes formed from water flowing underneath so you need to be careful

On the Italian side you go three times across cca 10m trampled snow path, nothing special but you need to be careful - that was yesterday.
