On holiday day I went for an easier hill, Menina sure is one. Drive 150m above Okrog village and enjoy mostly off-trail to Vivodnik. Visit highest point with tower, Dom na Menini, taste 'Menina' goulash (6€), walk to Moravški UKW bivouac and descend to car via Biba Planina with super tea. Then 'analysis' in garden of local by Kamnik bypass.

Olševa, Raduha and Peca from the viewpoint tower at Vivodnik 1508m.

Upper left white Vel. vrh - Zelenica and Molička peč, in front grassy Lepenatka and rocky Rogatec.

From Kočna to Štajerska Rinka, in front Rzenik and Konj.

From Krvavec to Kalška gora, in front Velika planina and Kranjska reber

This afternoon I circled above Tuhinjska (idea from non-general puzzle) from Sv. Miklavž over Ovčje jame, then along the road to hunting hut and under big walls to Travnik pasture. Then past Ravne pasture and Prevale back. Didn't circle some peak, more let myself go with path and thoughts. Last hour fled from dense fog and rain, but still soaked me heavily and lightning struck nasmeh

Between both pastures path crossed by fresh extensive landslide and fallen trees - causes tracking issues; path from Prevale poorly marked in many places; path from chapel through boulders and forest ridge (V grebenih) and pasture on top are mini natural gems. Will return to sit in sunny weather.

12.10.2019...Saturday ramble on Menina pasture from Biba pasture to mountain hut; really wonderful path, suitable for small children, as seen by number of young enthusiasts; cows of course no more on pasture, still ponies, numerous ponds along path and especially beautiful views towards KSA

Yesterday's ramble on Menina we started at Biba pasture. Across meadows and pastures first to Špic, then to viewpoint tower on Vivodnik, on way back stop at mountain hut.
Then also take path to Goli vrh, which offers nice views. Yes, Menina enchants in every season.

After a few years back on Menina pasture, this time in completely different conditions. From Tuhinjska valley, starting point Golice. At the beginning the path dry, then a bit snowy, towards the top pleasant winter idyll. Path nice, to the top 950m ascent, whole path 18 km. Nature so beautiful that it offers some respite to breathe...Views on the chain of Kamnik-Savinja Alps super from Kočna and Grintovca to Ojstrica and Raduha...on the other side also Kum. Hut nicely arranged, young locals take good care of order and good food. Praise to Andraž and other youngsters. On descent appears Čemšeniška pasture and almost surely Krvavica, our previous peak...

Today with better half from Črnivec pass over Pl. Ravni and Pl. Travnik to Hut on Menina and to Špic and back same way.
Whole path nicely marked and normally passable, as forecasted, it made a really nice day with some wind.

I was also at Menina Pasture today. Plenty of Kamnik gentians on Goli vrh, and they smell nice too nasmeh

Coincidentally, this year already the second time at Menina Pasture. This time a two-day trip to gain new knowledge. Saturday gorgeous, wonderful weather, lots of pasture visitors. We did some walking, some lectures and demos and learning new skills. Views top-notch, sunset too, and company. Project leader and helpers made an effort to tell us as much as possible, we try to remember and use knowledge well...In March mountaineers cared well for guests, this time praise to hut keepers for good food and hut tidiness. Tried Meninca too and desserts of course. Quite some participants first time at Menina Pasture, not last. Road well drivable. In case of fog, can stray easily...on Sunday quick weather change, but nothing bad yet.

In this unusual corona year already third time at Menina Pasture. This time from Črnivec, or start a bit ahead at weekends. Took three and a half hours hike to pasture, less than three back. Total 22 km, over 700m elevation on ascent, some on descent, over 33,000 steps...Today beautiful fairy tale of flowing autumn colors. Views to Dleskovska plateau, very close Kašna pasture, Lepenatka and Rogatec. In the distance Peca. Right Travnik, Smrekovec, Golte. At top some families, hikers, hut closed. Trail well marked, must follow marks carefully...if daydream a bit, quickly back on marked trail. Super our "family head" always full of ideas.
