The cops didn't have a general meeting but went to pay homage to the deceased mountain rescuers and instructors who lost their lives here 19 years ago on exercise. Next time you're in these parts you can check the memorials above Okrešelj.

Thanks for the clarification.
None of those I exchanged a few words with on the way to Okrešelj mentioned it. True, I heard loud talking up top all the time, but due to fog couldn't see what was going on below.
I hardly ever linger in huts anyway, not on Friday either.
Some were still "celebrating" descending from Okrešelj with beer cans in hand and singing. Probably not from that group, hope not.
Didn't mean to offend anyone with "general assembly", if it came across that way, least of all those paying homage to deceased rescuers.

Where'd you get that? That's just pointless moralizing. Some drink it, some don't. Alcohol's part of human society since forever, no place for exclusive stance. Beer in the hut fits right in. Maybe not for you, but yeah, you're in the minority.

Dprapr I don't know if we met when you were descending, my colleague and I were ascending towards Savinjsko sedlo, the junction for Mrzla gora and we exchanged a few words, like if there's still any snow on the mountain.

Tone: commendable, nice "feat", nice details on showing certain spots, where still how much snow. Detail pic no. 19: first time there I "chickened out" and turned back. When you get honed enough, no problem. Why "feat"? My personal opinion Mrzla gora hardest two-thousander in KSA regarding marked paths.

Today (oh, according to the time already yesterday) via Okrešelj to Mrzla gora. Day more than excellent. Morning cloudiness and peaks in mists, allowing relaxed ascent without sun heat, on top it cleared and suddenly the view was much better.
Path otherwise without any features. Still need to cross one snowfield, which due to small incline and south snow poses no danger.
Oh, no logbook on top, only a sheet, on which there was space for another 30 names after us.

Since garmont mentioned the summit caretaker in another thread, I'm curious who is the caretaker of Mrzla gora summit. This term was unknown to me until now.
I've been observing the neglect of the summit for two years already. Last winter I accidentally saved the cross from sliding towards Belska Kočna.
If it's already there, it would be good to repaint and reinforce it. Now it's just lined with stones (my work). Also those two "hooks" could be arranged differently or at least one removed.
Anyway, either fix it or remove everything.
Yeah, and in spring I picked up the box lid far below towards Matkov kot and put it back in place.
I'm not really a fan of various objects (signs) on summits, but if they are there, they deserve some attention.
