Bravo for all the pics and full baskets. At my place there are quite some mushrooms, but all boletes are dry and poor. Rarely find a whole, nice and firm one. Today I spotted a huge one, but when I cut it, it crumbled completely in my hand. Interested in your opinion why they are dry? Maybe old, not enough water? Thanks for any opinions and best regards.

Real plunder! Congrats! You're quite the guy to dare post evidence of your illegal ravaging, nothing to it!

Those are the ones who probably get a hysterical fit if someone picks a flower, but mushrooms they ravage to the last. Hey, at least don't boast if you're not embarrassed.

Lamps, pick only pine and spruce boletes. Those are all firm.

You're lying like pigs in pumpkins. I didn't pick these mushrooms. But I also know that this guy wasn't alone in the forest. You could also go for a little walk. I'll delete the picture so you can sleep better.

tinky, you're really a model citizen. Such an older, polished, fine gentleman, bragging to us younger ones about plundering mushrooms and destroying the forest ecosystem. I hope you at least picked in your own woods, or according to the socialist system "everything is ours". Sometimes you ranted that posts shouldn't be deleted and edited, but you stand by them like a real grandpa. It already shows your true character here. Most nature and mountain lovers have gone quiet in the comments. Only Capraibex and SamoK reacted upright. So we can sleep better, just a quick look at the deleted picture that's still on the net.

Lino said the essence. No need to fool anyone about multiple mushroom pickers etc. That some would pick up the piggishness after themselves, which they leave in the forests these days, is also part of the story.

@CapraIbex, I completely agree with you. Trash is left by some mushroom pickers, foresters, etc. In 'my' forests where I regularly pick mushrooms/blueberries/chestnuts or just go for a walk for years, I pick up trash for others. And sadly, there's still no shortage. If everyone did the 'clean up Slovenia' action every day when we go out, Slovenia would be clean.

On Pohorje, there is trash in the forest where "mushroom pickers" drive right to the mushrooms (Šumik, Areh, Rogla,...). Where I go on foot, there is no trash, because you can't get that close by car. It's similar in the mountains. On pathless terrain it's pristine, at the "inns" it's crowded, stinky,...

Someone could, instead of a 10 kg basket of mushrooms, photograph a bag of trash they brought from the forest and post it here. Probably they'd get more pluses than daily posters of forest trophies.
