Zahre is also available in "bottle-shaped" bottles (0.75) and I've taken it home several times. Before that, I bought prosciutto at the Wolf prosciutteria and before that some different cheeses at the alpine dairy - caseri Razzo. Divine

Zahre and Wolf first league, I agree 100% wink. They also serve Zahre in Resiutta where they roast chicks/chickens; in the past we generally had poorer beer quality mrk look, then since private ones started serving their home brew - like your Marinšek - also official big firms/companies under competition pressure had to improve quality like it or not and now the difference is noticeable. The thing is our beers are pasteurized and they bloat you right away, now thank God they also started with unfiltered (like Union with you). By the way, try Menabrea. Sorry, the debate doesn't fit the main topic but it fits in the times too, or not?

From Šajda to Obir and back the same way, path dry, only grass and bushes in some places, heavily overgrown. No suitable weather for circular variant.

Starting point at Šajda fully occupied, cars were even far down the road on both sides. No crowds on the path, even less at the top due to unpleasant wind. Wind and snow started above tree line. Fallen trees on the path surprised me, as they were already on the path during my last visit to Obir. So the detours are well trodden.

Today in nice sunny weather, I "cleaned up" the trail from Šajde to Obir. If winter brings snow, walking up will be easier. I also took away the "forgotten" shoes to the saddle. Owner can pick them up there now.

Hats off, Janezs, for your effort in maintaining hiking trails; this is neither the first nor the last, I think. Is the route description (Šajna - Ostrc) accurate or how long does it take you from parking to the top? Stay well and hike nicely!

Today lush circular route. Šajda- Obir- Obirska planina- Šajda. Nothing special below, for this autumn time. Filled the parking lot well, same at the hut. Circular route totals 16 km. 1150 elevation gain.

Today Obir had all aces up its sleeve, at times sunny, windy, foggy and cold. Hikers we counted on fingers of one hand. More snow above forest line, lower down mostly dry. Can walk it with spikes, safe and nice path.

From Šajda on snowy trail to Great Obir. Trail well trodden, so could walk without major issues. Crampons and snowshoes stayed in backpack. Hikers just a handful. Regards.

Again we headed to Obir. Nice sunny trail now quite icy, still lots of snow. This time had hand saw and removed two obstacles.

Do you maybe know how it is from Železna kapla?

No, guessing, such long trail probably few people hike, so hard to say if there's a track. Snowshoes would be useful at certain spots, lower down probably not much snow on sunny slopes. Regards,

And who knows how long it takes to walk from the summit of Obir to Kravji vrh and how much elevation gain there is... approximately?

From Šajda Saddle to Great Obir, while hiking to the summit, I set up two benches. I had sawn logs on the trail for almost two years. Next to it, I also sawed one obstacle. Then I headed towards the summit. Today in nice weather there were quite a few visitors. Hikers mostly came from the hut direction. Regards.

On Saturday, Obir, a two-thousander in Austria, finally got its turn. We drove via Ljubelj to Šajda Saddle. After three hours of moderate ascent, we were at the summit. At first a few drops, then cloudy, but still good visibility to KSA and Košuta ridge. Too bad the larches didn't shine in the sun. We descended to the other side to the hut and returned via Jezersko. Interesting, easy trail, new idea for repeating the tour in summer months when everything blooms... Total 1,100m elevation, 16 km.
