Adding some myself to this, I've walked this path twice, regarding the road just this - it climbs slowly, no problems except at one spot where you have to cross the debris of sand and rocks from the flash flood, ... there we left the car the first time as a steep section follows, to the start another 15 min, the second time to the start, there watch the underbody a bit.

Thanks both for reply. Will try this path too by end of July. Yesterday from Krvavec on Kalški greben via Veliki Zvoh. No heat, lucky too as not wet at all. Morning shower I drove through. LP

To Kamniško sedlo 3.5 liters of water, there deserved beer. But had to control consumption due to heat.

Thursday was just the right day for the path to Ojstrica. Road to Planina Podvežak in good condition, like every similar one, slowly but surely. For the path over Little Ojstrica to the summit we spent from start at Planina Podvežak 3.5 hours. Back to Korošica about an hour. Path excellently marked, all praise to the maintainers. Snow only in one gully just above Korošica, just right for refreshment. Wonderful views around.

Today the tour to Ojstrica was wonderful. Path is good and maintained, Kocbekov hut though it was Monday was open. Afternoon a short thunderstorm caught us, which refreshed us a bit

On Sunday 11.7.2010 also an ideal day for hike to Ojstrica. But of course need to start early enough, because afternoon gets very hot.

Ojstrica 11.7.2010. Start was at 5.10, back we returned at 12.30. Up we went via Kopinškova, back over Škarje. Very nice path!

We crossed the snowfield without ice axe and without crampons. It is a bit soft snow and one can nicely step into footsteps that were already made. The descent over Škarje is personally tedious to me, because it drags on. Otherwise passable normally, without snow and well marked. lp

On Monday I'm heading to Ojstrica and then further to Grintovec.
Since I haven't been to KS Alps yet I'm curious where the best place to start is.
Especially how to get there.

There are countless options, best to study yourself based on the KS Alps map and route descriptions on this portal...
Starting points options are Planina Ravne, Podvežak, Robanov kot, Logarska dolina, depending what you want and how much willing to hike.. All is described, take time, browse and study. A concrete answer of all routes would take at least 2 pages of writing.
Good luck and enjoy wherever you hike.

I was today with the group at Korošica from Podvežak. The road is quite well arranged. Only foresters have logs by the road.

Hello, the pictures are already so nice that one would stay there. Can someone describe the descent from Ojstrica over Korošica to Kamniška Bistrica? How long does the descent take? Is it possible in one day (7-8h) via Kopinškova gora and over Korošica to KB?

I have a young driver at home who can't wait to drive somewhere. In the morning to Logarska, in the afternoon he picks us up at KB.
