Hello all!
We were yesterday on this two-thousander. Over Mala gora and down to Korošica. Fantastic tour, beautiful day... no snow...
I recommend to everyone.

StaneK: hope you had fun... we started at 7.15.. long drive...

The ridge path to Ojstrica is mountain poetry of views, which give a person "wings" to just fly.

From parking before hut in Kamniška Bistrica through Repov kot and over Srebrno sedlo to Korošica. After short stop ascent to Ojstrica, which was wrapped in foggy shawl all day providing ample cooling. Especially on ridge strong wind. Views to Styrian side beautiful, elsewhere only when fog lifted. Descent along ridge back to Korošica, then via Šraj pesek to valley. Path normally passable, on way to Ojstrica cross short snowfield, not problematic.

Nice greeting to all from my side too. We also went on Saturday to Ojstrica from Robanov kot via Molička and Mala Ojstrica. Path relatively long but views wonderful. We left home late (morning chores) and there was quite some fog but I tell you it's worth it. Especially recommend to those annoyed by overcrowded paths, as we met no hiker until Molička peč (tourists to last Roban homestead excepted).

Yesterday we ascended from Robanov kot to Ojstrica. Path completely dry. Descended via Kopinškova to Logarska dolina. In upper part of Kopinškova still three snowfields. First two bypassable, third cross. For crossing snowfield recommend ice axe, though possible without.

Nice greeting. Yesterday went to Ojstrica from pension at Razpotje to hut at Klemenča jama and on via Kopinškova to summit. Descended over Škarje. On north side of Ojstrica (Kopinškova) still two snowfields, but crossable without ice axe, protections in good condition. Strongly recommend helmet and self-belay kit. On descent over Škarje hit snowfield on south side, passable without ice axe but caution advised. Path and markers good.

Today did tour from Robanov kot to Korošica and on to Ojstrica, then over Lučka Baba to Planjava and descent via Kamniško sedlo and Okrešelj to Logarska dolinavelik nasmeh.Path part of SPP (Transversale). Path all dry and normally passable, only here and there one could saw the bushes a bitnasmeh.Today cooler weather but excellent for hikingmežikanje.

Yesterday via Kopinškova to Ojstrica, regarding snowfield (packed-hard snow) I recommend ice axe because runout is looong! The snowfield can also be bypassed lower but that's very risky due to scree and terrain steepness. Judge from pic yourself.

Snowfield still there but <10m wide. Lots of us yesterday on path, no probs noticed with it.

Today up Kopinškova to Ojstrica and back Čez škarje to pension Na razpotju. Nothing special, path bare just below summit at snowfield. Weather not cheering, cloudy windy on top. Some asked difficulty-this climb; personally many Slovenian vias harder. Just my non-pro opinion. Caution everywhere. Via kit-experienced leave home. Unsure-take it, worst pack back down. velik nasmeh Needs fitness, no sparing.

All passing firewood depot grab log carry 100m down to nice Klemenča jama hutkeeper. Little work big joy. Thx.

Today perfect day for hills, Ojstrica after week first day without snowcap.

I was on Ojstrica yesterday too via Kopinškova. Experienced a funny situation with carrying logs to Klemenča jama hut.
Two Poles picked up a log each right on the ascent to Ojstrica, thinking there was probably another hut higher up to deliver wood and earn some tea. First quit at Škrbina before first rock step and left log there, second held on almost to ridge where path first sees Logar Valley. Little more and he'd bring log to top. velik nasmeh
Found white thermo jacket on way besides logs, picked it up took to Klemenča jama hut, telescopic poles owner left ca 150m below summit I left. At top realized no owner.

Well, I got some fitness, but you sped off so fast on Kocbekova I couldn't even say hi properly! Thanks for pics, return as yellow and dewy cold one next time. Hope we see each other!

Jany - saw both, I tossed jacket more under overhang cuz wet. Didn't take it cuz owners usually look where lost. But probably best take all to hut.
