Snow towards Planjava from Ojstrica direction can be avoided if you're used to walking on rough terrain.

I'm interested if anyone has a pic similar to the above to compare conditions a week ago with today's.
Above it's mentioned that Planjava is snowy, dunno where you get such stupid info. Path from Kamn. sedlo is normally passable. Snowy mainly the traverse on the other side under Planjava towards Ojstrica. But I'm still of the opinion that hutkeepers Koc get info from hikers or majority such who from afar see some patch then whole thing is covered.
I have experience from 3 weeks ago. Hutkeeper Kocb.house said lower easy path is snowy. Next day I go check myself and see no patch anywhere and I report it personally, which seemed funny to me.

Yesterday's conditions from top of Vilic towards Planjava. The snow patch is quite nasty to cross. I descended from Planjava direction towards Ojstrica on snow with ice axe help right to the bottom and then up again. But two had real trouble when they bypassed it on top.

You are more skilled than "ordinary" readers of this forum and quite impatient too, so hutkeepers' advice is too strict for you, I fully understand and it's ok.
But I'll stick to:

This for the snow patch on Kopinškova DOES NOT APPLY. I firmly know the info to hutkeeper didn't come from random scared hiker, but from someone who is on Kopinškova practically "every day", knows conditions better than you or anyone from this forum and was personally witness to Friday's slip. Has probably met enough various hikers too and can judge what majority is capable of and what not.
So this specific info is to be respected.
They can't be hourly up to date of course. Info about breaking of last snow patch towards Krofička I, for example, gave to hutkeeper, before that he didn't know exactly that.

@VanSims: hard to put much on hutkeeper's opinion if he himself doesn't check path conditions that day or day before. Most reliable opinion is from people who walked the specific path themselves and have most up-to-date info for that day.
If ALL 11 of us climbers who walked Kopinškova to Ojstrica on Saturday morning judged it safe to pass without winter gear, then no sense talking about winter conditions on that path anymore.

You are really funny that you argue so much instead of telling the conditions how and what.
Info that hutkeeper gives you comes from hikers who passed the path, we asked almost everyone where he came from and what the path is like. True though that in one week it melts half meter of snow and what was impassable two weeks ago might be ok today.
Just a week ago they returned to hut in evening because they couldn't cross from Škarij to Planjava, on Sunday a hiker slipped on thick snow under Planjava and was taken to the valley by helicopter with an open ankle fracture.
So if we advise against something sometimes it's only for your good, we don't know if you're in mountains every day or just twice a year and at any cost want to cross some path you set for yourself.

Everything is true, but if you don't have gear I don't know why you don't bypass that snow, and so no one says it couldn't be done by chance, you have 2 variants - right harder, left easier

For a pure average hiker without gear the path from Planjava to Škarje was practically impassable on Saturday. Bypass above snow is possible but from what I saw how two hikers struggled with those few meters, it's really not for everyone. Two more experienced crossed it without major issues. I preferred to descend to the bottom of the snowfield with ice axe help and then up scree to Vilice (direction Planjava-Škarje). But snowfield is decently steep and slip-dangerous. Without ice axe too dangerous!

The path was already nicely passable three weeks ago, with some smaller snowfields that weren't problematic. Those snowfields have probably disappeared by now too.

On Saturday we went on this path. Between Ojstrica and Korošica only one snowfield left, which is passable. Pictures at the following link:

The path between Ojstrica and Planjava I'll check again next week and photograph, so you'll have fresh info about this path and those two crossings, if the snow has eased a bit.

On Kopinškova on Saturday, 26. 7., there was still one unpleasant snowfield, which without gear I don't recommend at all. We made a fence for the group and cut some steps.

ojha.... how tricky that snowfield on Kopinškova is; it can be done without crampons just with an ice axe... how's the condition then towards Škarje back down to Klemenečna... planning for Sunday.. thanks

Through Škarje there are 2 snowfields towards Klemenča cave, which are not problematic to cross.
The one on Kopinškova can also be done just with an ice axe, if careful.
Someone can say no need for anything, but this year quite a few had a free helicopter ride to the valley. Sad.

Today up Kopinškova. Without winter gear no problem. The problematic snowfield is only five steps long and passable. Or bypass it three meters lower.
