Thanks Skorny. Did a great tour at night and morning: Stahovica - Velika Planina - Konj - Presedljaj - Korošica, then in the dark saw Ojstrica quite snowy, me in running gear. Turned right to direct path to Robanov Kot, then changed mind and took path to Luče. Descent to Luče and some road run to Ljubno ob Savinji.

Path from Hut at Korošica - Luče is dry, but good to know it - I had quite some orientation issues. cool

Hi MPS, yesterday I went to Ojstrica from Kam. Bistrica, to Kocbek Hut dry, summer conditions, towards the summit 3 snow patches a few meters each, nothing noteworthy – (in short the path is practically dry).

Road to Podvezak closed until 15.6. because of paving. So no need for reserve variants like with me LIVE NOW! nasmeh

I turned back right away when I read the notice, so don't know how far one can go at all.. From main road nothing marked at all.

, soon above turnoff for Luče and Kladnik farm... variant also from Lučka Bela, "behind the pot"...

No snow, except some patches that don't cause problems, winter gear from Korošica direction and over Mala Ojstrica ridge to summit not needed... nasmeh

Regarding redbull's post from 30.5. maybe someone knows if Kopinškova path is now dry or winter gear still needed? How about path further toward Planjava any snow patches obstructing walking?

on Kopinškova still snowfield on traverse, that one below summit that stays looong if not whole year nasmeh

As for path further to Planjava don't know... two runners from Korošica continued to Kamniško sedlo in "sneakers" eek

My opinion ice axe not too heavy not to take along mežikanje

, if nothing else you amuse someone passing you in running gear, hehe velik nasmeh

That's how it was 7.6. Basically goes without winter gear no problem if you don't slip on snowfield. In snow nice holes/footprints.

When you need a break and pure pleasure, the trip to Ojstrica from Lovska hut at Brežiči under the walls of Deska is the right medicine.
A bit before Lovska hut I parked the car at 5:20, then spent a long time looking for the right morning sun rays for the lens and my soul. For imitators - the old hunter's path across the SW slopes of Deska, which later joins the one from Podvolovjek, branches off from the Deska path at 1660 m altitude, at a stone with a pale red T painted on it (fork). Then just follow the narrow trail, first through bushes, then about 30 m slowly down, through sparse forest, to the area (once bushes) destroyed by fire. Later follow nice passages first across a wide torrent gully, then 15 m up and another 20 m down past a tooth sticking above you, until you finally reach the ledge crossing the Deska wall to the scree. Around it to the bushes and slightly down to the junction. The most beautiful is then the ascent along the stream, which is definitely a real gem up to 1780 m, where you join the path from Vodol (and over Deska) and turn left along it towards the saddle Čez Prag to Korošica. I myself crossed left from Prag to the saddle below Mala Ojstrica and along and under the ridge to the top of Ojstrica. The passages are dry, only downhill (direct) from Ojstrica to Korošica there are still some snow patches on which you can slide nicely. On the way back I followed the path from Čez Prag first towards Vodol to Vodotočnik and at the lake turned to the southern saddle, there 20 m left to the scree and down it about 120 m lower to the path I walked in the opposite direction in the morning. In the afternoon the SW wind started turning, so the weather in the mountains obviously started changing. Safe steps to all others.

Saturday ascent via Planina Dol to Konj and on to Ojstrica. Return via Presedljaj.
