Have to admit that even the burned hut wasn't some pinnacle of beauty, the containers are hopefully the cheapest temporary solution.

I'd most like to see them remove the containers and leave the ruins as a reminder to man, let the plateau become a desert. Korošica doesn't need a mountain hut.

My opinion is that they should build a new hut here that fits the environment. Because the hut is also on part of SPP, where now from Grohat to Kamniško sedlo you have nowhere to overnight on the trail. That's quite a few hours of walking.

If you go to Korošica on the marked path from Podvežak pasture, then along the path there's a water spring called Inkretov studenec, which is also marked; on a stone by the path it says "water".

Drinking water has always been approx. 2 minutes' walk from the (former) hut towards Presedlaj, then left down to the far edge of the field. Under Lučki Dedec, then. In the dry period the spring dries up, otherwise water can be refilled there most of the hiking season.

I don't know about the spring under Dedec.
Inkret's spring was completely dry on 22.8.
I myself in the past always drew water at the trough under the hut, which is now dry.

Last year at this time water was there. A few meters above the concrete trough water from the tap flowed like from the home water pipe. Why no drinking water this year, I don't know.

To me, the containers are totally OK as a temporary solution. It's nice that there's something up here. Otherwise, you can hardly see them from afar and they are covered with a roof so they don't look that awful.
You have overnight accommodation if you need it. Water flows in the trough. Only the loos could be arranged a bit better; when I was up there, the container was locked. Some hot food would also come in handy but they haven't arranged everything yet...
Better something than nothing.

Not familiar with these parts. Asked at the summit three hikers, two guys and one girl, who came via Kopinškova what it's like. They said it's demanding. Asked them how, since you went without SVK. They laughed, they had the girl in the middle the whole way. Descent on that path advised against.

Darinka, Kopinškova to Ojstrica is really a very demanding secured path, but the ascent on it is pure enjoyment, which can be done without SVK, at least I did it without issues. Too bad you didn't ask on this portal how it looks, since the path is really nicely laid out. I went alone on Kopinškova, I asked beforehand how it looks and how demanding it is, and I had a super solo day, only the weather was worse than forecast. I descended through Škarje. Good luck.

Darinka: given your experience as I read your tour posts, you'd manage Kopinškova without SVK no problem. A few years ago I had SVK with me, but judged no need to use it. Tour over Škarje up and down drags on. Next time.
